House Mouse Challenge No. 3 – Sketch

Our challenge this week is a sketch.

With the sketch you can – flip it, stretch it, shrink it, twist it, add accents to it BUT you MUST be able to see the original sketch on your project.

It’s entirely your choice what you make – card, Lay out, atc, etc anything goes as long as it features at least one House Mouse or Friends image and follows this weeks theme.  Please leave us a comment with a link to your card on the HM Challenge blog. For those who don’t have a blog please feel free to email them to me or Emma.

Here’s my submission:

This guy turned out to be quite a “labor of love” ~ appropriate to post on Labor Day!  🙂     I wanted the coffee cup to have a 3-D effect with paper tole…unfortunately, it took five tries to get it to work   🙂    It was actually fun once I succeeded in not tearing the paper.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the design team members here:   http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/

Thanks and Happy Labor Day.

  1. […] You may notice that the hat and scarf are a little “puffy” ~ I used a technique called paper tole.  I also used this technique on my HM Challenge card for this coming Monday’s challenge.  I will be TRYING to do a photo tutorial for you to try out!   I use this technique alot, I think it adds some dimension to certain cards.  This card was also made using paper tole https://mycardz.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/house-mouse-challenge-no-3-sketch/ […]
