Confused??? Me???? LOL

Sorry about any confusion with the posts below…I preschedule my HM projects to post at a certain time each week and since I did THREE things this week, I tried to post them in a certain order, but that didn’t work.  Hence the 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc.  being out of order!

AND, I am having TWO chances to win a box of cards – one on my blog for a comment on the post below AND on the HM Challenge blog for a “Anything But a Card” submission!   Phew…sorry about all the confusion!  Now back to our regularly scheduled program!!  🙂

House Mouse Challenge No. 10 – Anything But a Card (Project 3 of 3) !!! and BLOG CANDY! :)

3x3 card boxes

3x3 card boxes

This was actually my first “Anything But a Card” project, but after I thought about it, I wasn’t sure it counted since it included cardz!   Each box has a set of four coordinating 3 x 3 cardz and mini envelopes~  I thought they would be cute to use as post-Christmas thank you cardz.

I’ve also included a step-by-step tutorial of the Copic colors I used in coloring these cardz.  Please see below.

**And, to thank you for putting up with ALL my crazy posts for today, I am offering one of these boxes filled with cardz as “blog candy” to one randomly chosen person who leaves a comment on this post!  The winner will be picked on Sunday, October 26th at 12:00 p.m. CT.  So if you would like a chance, please post your comment before Sunday at noon – Central Time.   Thank you.**

Here are some closeup pictures:

HM Challenge No. 10 – Anything But a Card (Project 2 of 3) !!!

Under the Mistletoe

Under the Mistletoe

Sorry about the awful picture!  I bought ornaments with iridescent glass and took about 100 pictures and this one was the ONLY one that you could actually see the images without the glare of the iridescence!

Colored my image again on acetate and slipped it into the ornament.  I then filled the ornament with faux snow flakes!    Pretty easy one, except for getting a good picture!  😉

House Mouse Challenge No. 10 ~ Anything But a Card (Project 1 of 3!!!)

Hmmmm…..notice the name of my blog?  My CARDZ!  🙂   I haven’t done much to step out of the “box” in trying any projects other than cardz!   Yikes.   Once again, a TRUE challenge.  The funniest part is that I ended up doing THREE projects for this challenge!  lol  Sooo, Happy House Mouse Monday!!!

As I wandered the aisles of Hobby Lobby (a craft store), I came across some clear glass blocks normally found at the hardware/home design type stores!  Each block had a hole drilled and included suggestions for various projects using it.  One was a light!!  Ding, ding, ding.  I had the PERFECT stamp for this!  🙂

I colored my little HM scene on a piece of acetate with Copics and Shimmerz, backed the acetate with a piece of vellum to cut some of the glare, tacked this onto the front of the block with some sticky tape and added lights to the inside of the glass block:

Here’s a really badly focused shot, but I wanted to give a different angle of the block:

Coloring the mice! :)

A very nice lady who visits my blog asked if I would share how I color the House Mouse mice on my cardz, and which Copic colors I use.  Thought I would take this opportunity to show you a step-by-step on the colors.   I’ll show you pictures of a little 3×3 card used in this week’s HM Challenge.  (only had to color 15 images!! eeeeek)

Step 1 – Stamp image with Momento tuxedo black ink; I feel this is the best ink for Copics:  (This shot shows some mice that have already been colored)
