Be like the flower …

Dahlia

Dahlia

I was sooooo excited tonight to get my hands on TWO of the new Basic Grey 6×6 paper pads ~ Marrakech & Porcelain!!   This card was made using the Porcelain papers.   I am, however, waiting quite anxiously for the Wistera paper ~ it’s PURPLE!!!  I’m a total purple-addict!!   Ahhhh.

Oh, back to this card:

Kahlil Gibran

The layout is from this weeks Sketch challenge at SCS.  Not too sure about this one…I had lots of trouble getting it to work.  I did try to color the flower a little more subdued than my normal coloring ~ which was really hard for me!

The flower and sentiment are from Melanie Muenchinger’s A Year of Flowers and Say it with Flowers sets by Gina K. Designs.  The flower center is a jewelry filigree half circle, that I colored with Copics and adhered a small rhinestone to the middle.

Thank you for dropping in and TGIF – Have a great Friday!!!!!   🙂
