House Mouse Challenge No. 57 ~ Double Pocket Bag

HAPPY HOUSE MOUSE MONDAY (with Cheese from Wisconsin!)   😀

Our challenge this week is to do a Double-Pocket Bag  ~ and just what is a Double-Pocket Bag you might ask?!     (I did)    Well, it’s a small  (tiny, actually) bag with two pockets!    A tutorial can be found at SCS here.     It’s actually pretty amazing that you can make this bag from a single piece of DP.

This week’s challenge  is from Janneke.  I’m sad to tell you that Janneke has decided to step down from the House Mouse Design Team ~  She’s one of the original House Mouse(keteers!)      We will ALL miss her on the team, but will definitely be visiting her awesome blog often!

For my DPB I used Bo Bunny St. Nick SleighIt’s double-sided paper, one side was used for the bag and the other side was used for the larger/background tag.  I decided to add some lace trim, using the Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch.   And, since I do not have a horizontal slot punch, as called for in the supply list for this project, I used four large eyelets to anchor the handles for the bag.

The main image is from the clear Christmas House Mouse & Friends stamp set.   I masked the image so I could use a dark red ink for the To & From …  in Crimson Red Versifine ink.   The image is stamped in Memento black ink and colored with  … yep, you guessed it, Copics!

The actual tag shape is cut with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Scalloped Tag  dies …  they’re one of my favorite sets that I use quite a bit during the holidays for packages.

Be sure to check out all the amazing Double Pocket Bags by HM Design Team over at the House Mouse Challenge blog.  We’re very excited to be welcoming THREE new Design Team members on board today – hope you have a few minutes to take a peak at their projects:     ChristineCurt  &  Lisa!
