That’s Amore!

Hi!    Sorry, I’ve been missing in action for the past week or so – I was soooo far behind in my Christmas preparations, that I just had to take a break.    But, I’m back, refreshed and ready to go!!    😀

And, now trying to get ready for that big day in February.    As soon as I saw this guy from High Hopes, I knew he would be perfect for a Valentine – It’s Luigi!     Hopefully I’m not showing my age by using a line from this song on the card, but I thought it was so perfect for Luigi …

Of course, the entire time I was working on this card – I was, unfortunately, singing this song!   Good thing I have a separate area in the house for my stamping!

Luigi is colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.  I used a classic Italian restaurant tablecloth design of red and white checks for the background by Karen Foster – Picnic Cloth.  I also added some Diamond Glaze to the pizza to make it look a little more authentic.

This stamp from High Hopes is currently out of stock at 7 Kids, but on order and should be arriving soon!   I will definitely let you know when he’s back in stock.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday with family and friends.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

This has to be THE jolliest snowman stamp around!    It’s Daper Dan Snowman  from High Hopes Stamps, now in stock at 7 Kids College Fund  – but they’re going fast!

I used this week’s awesome sketch from Splitcoast for my card and just flipped it.

Since this is image is named Daper Dan, I thought he should have a bit more of a formal attire!   So, I paper pieced his vest and umbrella.  All the DP used for this card is from the Little Yellow Bicycle Sharon Ann Christmas Magic Collection.

I also attached a REAL bow for his bowtie.   The holly leaves are from a string of these that I purchased from my local scrapbook store and I added some red pearls from  Kaisercraft.   The handkerchief in his pocket is the top of one of the holly leaves!

I also added some  Stickles in gold  for the tips of his umbrella, stardust for the outer edges of Dan and icicle  for the snow on the ground.   I even used some Pumpkin orange Smooch paint  for his carrot nose.   His buttons are some black flat-back beads that I had in my stash.      Here’s a closeup view showing all the little embellishments:

Whew.  I think that it!    Thanks for dropping in today – I appreciate it!

…my true love sent to me 5 golden rings.

Happy New Year!! :)

Yep!   It’s a Happy New Year card!    🙂     Our theme for InStyle Stamps Over the Hump Blog Candy Giveaway (held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month) is NEW YEARS!     I thought this InStyle Stamps Ava (Ava laying down) would be perfect for the top of the 2010.   I colored Ava with Copics, cut her out and mounted her to the cardstock with dimensionals.

*** Don’t forget – To receive a 5 percent Discount on ANY InStyle Stamp order – Be sure to click HERE ***

The 2010 and sentiment were computer generated and the DP is by TPC Studio, called Winter Blues Swirl.  I also used some silver foil cs, silver Stickles and added some silver swirl clips in each corner.   THIS was a hard one to photograph!!

All the details on today’s Over The Hump Blog Candy Give Away can be found on the  InStyle Stamps blog.   Better check it out to see what Virginia is giving away today!

Bingle balls and Whofoo fluff!?? :D

I really have way tooooooooo much fun finding sentiments for my cardz!   hehe   This totally adorable little guy is Ornament Trevor from C.C. Designs.     I just can’t get enough of these guys!!!    🙂

The sentiment I was referring to is from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas“!     🙂      Thought it was a pretty good match for this  cutie.      The rest of the lyrics can be found here, just in case you’re curious!

The bingle balls  —- ahem,  I mean ornaments were colored with Copics and then I added some Silver Stickles  and Diamond Glaze.  The DP is from Bo Bunny.  The center shape is from the Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels Five  set – which I LOVE!    And the rather large red round balls were in my stash – I truly have no idea where they are from – but, I thought they looked like – lol   nevermind!

Thanks for stopping in.   Hope you’re having a good week and ALL DONE with your Christmas preparations!    unlike me!
