Phindy’s Place Challenge ~ 3D

Happy Friday!   Time for a new challenge at Phindy’s Place.  This week our challenge is 3D.   I thought it would be fun to make a 3D chalk holder for my granddaughter.  I was happy to find these deep colored chalks on sale at Target awhile ago and have also had this Short Pail from Stampendous just waiting to be filled!

I also thought this cutie would be a perfect image to match the chalk ~  She’s called Hopscotch and is available for immediate download at Phindy’s store.   She’s been colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.  The chalk lines on her hopscotch were added with Prismacolor pencils over the Copic coloring.

The papers used are by Sassafras, called Nerdy Bird – tea for two ~ It’s actually the other side of the paper I used earlier this week for this card;  I thought the bright colors would match the chalk colors pretty well.   Added a few ribbons to match and that’s it!

Be sure to hop over the Phindy’s Place Challenge blog to take a peek at the always awesome projects from Phindy’s Design Team and hopefully you will be inspired to join us!

While I was outside taking photos of the chalk holder, I took a couple of some of my favorite very cool flowers in our garden to share with you.   They’re called Bees Balm and just starting to bloom.   They’ve actually spread so quickly and have completely filled in this section of the garden!

Thanks for stopping by today.   Hope you have a great weekend!

  10. Mary, that little pail is OUTSTANDING! Absolutely the most adorable! I am so green with envy at your coloring! In your spare time (LOL… what’s THAT?) you have to teach me how to make the shadowy background the way you do! And the hair!

  12. I would love to see a pic of your granddaughter when gwamma gives her this darling project. How fun! A perfect image for this too!

My little Cole has taken to throwing his sidewalk chalk over the fence to his neighbor’s yard. Every once in a while the goodhearted neighbor makes a round of it and throws it all back! LOL

  13. Elaine Moore says:

I have questions about the Bees Balm – do you have to replant them every year or do them come back on their own? About how tall to they get. I have an area in my yard that I just haven’t known what to do with – Bees Balm would be so lovely there.
    Thx – Elaine – mtn.moven.faith@comcast.net
