Kickin’ it for Michelle!

Hi again!    I wanted to get this card posted asap   …   it’s for a special card drive for the very sweet Michelle Oatman.   As many of you probably know, Michelle had an accident about two weeks ago which has left her with the loss of her right eye and a long road of recovery ahead.

In an effort to cheer her up and raise awareness for what happened to Michelle, A Spoonful of Sugar is holding a card drive in her honor.   They have many generous companies and individuals helping with this special card drive . . . all the details can be found here

Michelle and her hubby love and raise miniature donkeys  ~ her blog is filled with news of all the exciting events at the farm.   So, Tina Wenke created this adorable little donkey (shown above)  in honor of Michelle ~ which is being distributed through Stampavie.    Two of Whimsy Stamps’ artists, Melissa Jenkins and Ann Vento, have teamed together to bring another very special donkey image and matching sentiments, these are both available to download for free from the Whimsy Stamps store page.

This cutie has been colored with Copics ~ the DP is from the BG kioshi 6×6 paper pad.     Can’t wait to get this in the mail to Michelle!     Thanks for stopping in again today!

Where flowers bloom . . .

so does hope!

Hello!   Hope you brought your sunglasses along today ~  it’s a bright one . . . although not quite as bright IRL!    This is another gorgeous flower from the amazing floral collection at I Brake For Stamps, called Poppy.   If you’re interested in any stamps from IBFS, be sure to use coupon code “SAVE10MARY” for a 10% discount off your order!

I’ve tried to keep the card somewhat uncluttered, to focus mainly on the image and sentiment.

The poppy was colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals … is there any other way???   🙂    The papers are from Bo Bunny ~ poppy dot and gypsy curry.   I used both the Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Mega Ovals  and Large Mega Scalloped Ovals  . . . I really love the long, thin design of these dies.   The ribbon is from my stash and was originally coral and white – I used a Copic marker to make it more orange-colored to match the cardstock.    And, the sentiment is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by today and for your always wonderful comments that truly make my day!
