Happy weekend! As you can see, I really take these Make It Colourful challenges quite seriously! LOL How’s that for some major blue and purple?
I thought these two images ~ Rainbow Meadow background from Make It Crafty and Princess Pony from Karen’s Doodles (today’s sponsor at MIC) would be so fun together for a wall hanging in a little girl’s room! Purple is certainly a hot color in the pre-teen age group! (for me too!)
I’ve re-used an old white 12×12 frame for this and added some glittered cardstock and patterned paper. The sentiment is computer generated from my all-time favorite movie The Wizard of Oz. I think the blue and purple little girl and pony are quite surprised to see a matching rainbow ~ a dream come true! hehehe
The flowers in the foreground have been added with Smooch paint (my fav!) in moonlight, gold lame and green apple. It really helps to make this type of smaller more detailed items stand out against your Copic coloring. I tend to just color right over these details and then use the Smooch paints afterwards.
I also added a little Grape Glitz Stickles to her dress. Speaking of Stickles … have you seen the NINE brand new Stickles colors??! Very cool colors, and IN STOCK now at 7 Kids College Fund!
One can never have too many Stickles! 🙂
So you really MUST pop over to the Make It Colourful challenge blog today! I know you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for stopping by ~ Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I love this!! The colors are wonderful and the whole thing together is perfect!! I need to make more gifts and objects – I have way too many cards to use. ;D I love the simplicity of the papers which really pull the attention to the image. (Which is perfectly colored, of course!)
This would be a dream come true for any girl to have this on her wall. Can’t you just imagine a little girl looking up at this image and imagining all her dreams? Absolutely gorgeous and I love the simplicity of the papers surrounding so the focus is on the image. And of course – perfection in ever stroke of colour. 🙂 hugs xxoo
This is gorgeous! Wonderful colors and wonderful scene.
Which granddaughter is getting this beauty? Besides being wonderfully darling…how long does it take to 1. Color, 2. Put together project? I know you shake these out so regularly, just curious! Even though there is a rainbow in this cutie, I still want winter to go away! Good luck to your Packers!!!
