7 Kids College Fund ~ Halloween

Halloween certainly seems to be a VERY popular theme this week!   This is my 3rd challenge card with this theme.   This time it’s for the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog.

I’ve used one of the cutie pie new release images from LaLa Land, now up for preorder at 7 Kids College Fund.   This is Big Panda Marci.

The sentiment is from an old pack of Halloween stickers in my stash from Jolee’s boutique – but thought it would be fun to match Marci’s shiney black boots!

Be sure to take a peek at the adorable Halloween cardz from the 7KCF DT  right HERE.   I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

7 Kids College Fund ~ Holidays

Happy Wednesday!    And, happy new challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog!    Today we’re featuring HOLIDAYS … any holiday you’d like.   How’s that for easy?!

Tis the season for fun Halloween treat holders!    I was excited to find a small Quick Kutz “Paper Bag” cutting die from Lifestyle Crafts … thought this would be perfect for so many HOLIDAYS!   Thanksgiving table decorations, Christmas gift card holders, and on and on!    It measures 2.6 x 1.3 x 4.4 … perfect for Tilda – (or even quicker, just covered with your favorite cardstock!)

Here’s a photo of the backside …

I was also excited about the cool Organdy Bow Cord from Creative Impressions.  It has a wire base, so it works really well as a small handle.   Yep, it’s the little things that make life happy!   🙂

So, be sure to stop over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog for all the details on this challenge.   I hope you can join us!

7 Kids College Fund ~ Fluffy!

Hello nd happy Wednesday!   Sorry for being MIA these last few weeks ~ between trying to adjust to working full-time and getting ready for a housewarming party this last Saturday, my time has been sooooooo limited.   And, on top of it, I’m once again REALLY behind in emails also ~ I apologize to anyone waiting to hear from me, but I just haven’t been able to do it all.   I promise to get back to everyone later this week.   Thanks for your unending patience with me!!

Today we have a new challenge for you at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog, hosted this week by the awesome Wendy Ramlakhan ~ FLUFFY!   Pretty interesting, don’t you think?!     We’d love to see your cards using felt, suede, Flower Soft, etc

I did struggle a bit with this one and finally added a little Flower Soft to Tilda’s flowers.   The FS I used was actually Polar White!   I added a few drops Copic ink from a R81 reinker and mixed it up – kind of reminded me of dying coconut!!   LOL

I’ve used some of the new 6×6 papers from Magnolia ~ Sweet Rainbow, Dark Pink Rainbow flowers and Pink Plaid.  I really LOVE these colors!   And, I added a gold LOVE charm, tied to the ribbon with gold elastic cord.

I hope you have time to hop over to the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog to check out all the awesome FLUFFY cards from the DT.   I know you’ll be inspired to join us for this challenge!

7 Kids College Fund ~ It’s getting hot, hot, hot!

UGH!!    All I can say is …  it’s getting LATE, late, late!!

I just finished the post for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge  (1:00 AM)!     And I just don’t have the energy to do much more than tell you there’s a new challenge today at 7 Kids College Fund.

All the details for this challenge can be found HERE.

I’m really sorry for cutting this short … but, I started  a new job last week – after over a year of being home and enjoying myself!!   Unfortunately, I start  at 7:30 AM —  NEED to get some sleep.

I do promise to update this post with all the necessary details on this card SOON and hope that you’ll bear with me while I transition into VERY limited crafting time!     😦

Thank you.  Have a great day.

House Mouse Monday ~ Jewels

Happy House Mouse Monday my friends!

It’s time again for a new challenge at the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge blog!   Our challenge this week, brought to us by THE nicest, sweetest lady in blogland, my friend Miss America is adding JEWELS or jewelry to your card or project.    America not only chose this challenge, she also sent awesome surprise packages to each DT member with LOTS of different jewels, beads, charms … too much to list!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

For this cute little PRIMA Ballerina ~ actually named TWINKLE TOES, I’ve used a string of  silver beads – attached with double-sided super sticky tape, a silver charm for her crown  (we couldn’t have a PRIMA Ballerina without a crown!), some silver metal flowers to which four teeny, tiny silver circle beads were attached to the center.

Phew … thank goodness for bifocals!

Prima Ballerina

I also decided to take a stab at a Diamond Fold card, using Bette’s tutorial over at Splitcoast … after several attempts at this folding technique, I finally decided that you have to be smarter than the paper!   Apparently, I wasn’t for awhile.   But, eventually I got and really love the look of this type of card.

You’ll definitely want to take a peek at all the goregous jewel cards from the Design Team!!   And, hopefully, you can join us for this fun challenge.    All the details can be found HERE.

Hope your week is off to a great start.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday ~ Diva cards

Hello ~ Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!    Our challenge today at Tiddly Inks is to create a card fit for a DIVA!     I’ve used Christy’s gorgeous TAINTED image for a Rock Star Diva card!

We have a certain 16 year old who will love this one!   It’s hard to tell from these photos, but her outfit and boots have actually been paper pieced with some black glossy cardstock ~  I was hoping for a shiny black leather look!   I also added some gold metallic ribbon for her belt and some gold metallic mesh to her skirt and behind the main mat.

The computer generated “ROCK STAR” wording was created using a font called Akka from dafont.com which I love!

You really must check out the awesome DIVA cards from the Tiddly Inks DT – you’ll definitely want to join us for this one!   All the details can be found HERE.

7 Kids College Fund ~ Gettin’ Sketchy & Beachy!

Happy Wednesday!!    Time for a new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund.    Today our host is Suzanne Dean and she has come up with this awesome Sketch …

And, as you can see from the various beachy items, it’s a BEACH theme too!

I’ve used the Penny Black stamp set called BEACH DAY.     As you can see the set comes with several matching accessory stamps ~ perfect for LOTS of summertime cards!

Since this Basic Grey ~ Lauderdale paper (that I LOVE!)  was a little busy, I decided not to use any of the accessory stamps … for fear of a bit of beach overload!!   🙂

This little cutie definitely makes me in the mood for some much warmer weather!!

Be sure to take a peek at all the BEACHY cards from the 7KCF DT and hopefully you will be inspired to join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SUPPLIES USED:

Tiddly Inks Challenge ~ Manly Men

Today’s challenge at Tiddly Inks is to create a MASCULINE card or Father’s Day card.

I’ve used the image called SANDY MEMORIES, and thought this computer generated sentiment would make a great Father’s Day card …

A couple of years ago at my nephew’s wedding in New Jersey on the beach ~ all the bridesmaids wore gorgeous dresses in this teal color.    Since then, the color combo of teal & sand has always been one of my favorites and brings back memories of that beautiful wedding!

The flag was added using the end of a toothpick with a small piece of DP wrapped around it.  The sand castle was colored with Copics and then I applied some Ultra Fine Flower Soft in sand.   Here’s a quick closeup of that …

So, I hope you can pop over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog to check out the other MANLY MEN cards from the awesome Design Team, and of course, be inspired to join us for this challenge.

Thanks for your visit today.

SUPPLIES USED:

Handsome Edwin!

Isn’t he a handsome guy?! I so seldom am able to use Edwin on a card, and thought he was so adorable in this new Butterfly Dreams image, that I HAD to color him up! This is EDWIN WITH BUTTERFLY from Magnolia.

He seemed to fit perfectly on the STONE WALL image also from Magnolia. Both have been colored with Copics. The butterfly in his hand and the various butterflies on the card have been paper pieced using matching DP, and then a small rhinestone was attached for their bodies.

The sentiment is computer generated.

Speaking of Magnolia … have you heard that 7 Kids College Fund now has the newest & cutest

SWEET RAINBOW COLLECTION

up for preorder in the store??!!     Right HERE!

Thanks for stopping by  today!

7 Kids College Fund ~ Circle Cardz

For today’s new challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog, we’re featuring Circle Cardz ~ either circle shaped cards or circles included on your card or project.

As you can see, I’ve made a circle easel card.   I’ve followed this easy tutorial http://debbiepsplace.blogspot.com/2010/04/using-nestabilities-for-easel-cards-and.html

This cutie from the Magnolia Butterfly Dreams collection  is called Tilda with Lace Jeans and she’s IN STOCK at 7 Kids College Fund!

The DP is from the new Basic Grey 6×6 paper pad ~ Lauderdale.   I’m in love with the rich jewel tone colors in this collection, now available at 7KCF.

I thought this sentiment was perfect for what seems to be a “concerned” look on Tilda’s face!

I hope you can join us for this fun challenge!   All the details and the gorgeous circle cards from the DT can be found on the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping in today.
