All That Scraps ~ A Sketch

Helloooo out there!    Hopefully, some of you still remember me!     Sorry for the lack of posts, but we have sooooooooooo much to get done before our big move on March 21st!     Thank you ALL for your congrats on our sale/purchase — I really appreciate it.

Smiley from millan.net

This will actually be my last post for awhile for the All That Scraps Wednesday challenge blog  …  at least until some time in April when I hope to be a little more sane!   (knock on wood)

Our challenge this week is an AWESOME sketch designed by the equally AWESOME Rachel Schneider of the ATS Design Team:

I’ve used one of the newest cuties, released this month at All That Scraps, C.C. Designs ~ Spring Kiki La Rue.

Please be sure to take a peek at all the cards from the All That Scraps challenge DT using Rachel’s sketch – and be sure to give it a try … you’ll like it!

So, I hope to be posting a couple of cards during the next month  …   probably only for the Copic Creations challenge — I just couldn’t give that one up!    I hope you’ll stop back for a peek at those on the 1st and 15th.

Thanks for visiting today – hope you’re having a good week.

All That Scraps ~ Valentines (NO Red or Pink!)

Happy Wednesday!    Our challenge today at the All That Scraps challenge blog  is Valentines without using Red or Pink!    Now that’s a tough one!

I decided to go with a black and yellow bumble bee theme, starting with paper from Bo Bunny’s new Crush 6×6 paper pad.    This cutie Tilda from Magnolia is actually called Dragonfly Tilda  … but I cheated and colored her as a bumble bee!

Her wings were stamped onto vellum paper, cut out and attached to the backside of Tilda and then some icicle Stickles were added.    The sentiment is computer generated along with some stamped bees from PTI’s flower garden sentiments stamp set.

I also added a bee button from my stash which has been attached to a black button.    Trying to keep all the bees similar, I’ve added icicle Stickles to all the wings!

I hope you have a chance to stop over at the All That Scraps Wednesday challenge blog to see LOTs of awesome non-red or pink Valentine ideas.

Thanks for stopping in today!

All That Scraps ~ Anything Goes!

Hello and happy Wednesday!     I’m VERY thankful to have our electricity on today!!   We’ve had a terrible blizzard – the governor actually declared a state of emergency yesterday and today, and several communities are without power!    The winds are really whipping around out there – happy to be safe and warm inside!

Our challenge today at All That Scraps is ANYTHING GOES!    Always a favorite.   Since I love making thevgbbf kleenex box covers, I went with that for this new cutie from C.C. Designs.   She hasn’t officially been released yet, so I’m sorry to say I don’t know the name of this stamp!    Hopefully, she will be added to the store VERY soon.

Her flowers were highlighted with some Smooch paint in gold and moonlight – my favorite accent paint!   She’s been attached to a Spellbinders Blossom die cut and I thought she was a perfect match for the Basic Grey Marjolaine papers – I love all the shades of blue!    Here’s a quick side shot of the papers . . .

I think this is certainly an easy challenge to join in ~ no excuses!!    Be sure to take a peek at all the ANYTHING GOES projects from the always inspiring Design Team at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog.

Thanks for visiting today!    I’ll be back later for a new 7 Kids College Fund challenge project.

All That Scraps ~ Let it Snow

Time for a new challenge over at the All That Scraps challenge blog!    This week we’re featuring one of my least favorite topics ~ LET IT SNOW.     I’m so ready for winter to be over, so I was really dragging my butt on doing this card … until I found this fun, BRIGHT snowflake paper in my stash!    And, of course, coloring this cutie from C.C. Designs called  Teddy Emma, was LOTS of fun!

I hope you have a chance to pop over to the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog to see all the SNOWY creations from the DT!

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

All That Scraps ~ Valentine’s Day Ideas

Happy Wednesday!    I’m really going to keep this very short and sweet today since I have THREE challenge cardz to share with you.    I’ve been trying very hard to cut down on my DT assignments to allow some breathing room ~ however, once in awhile they seem to overlap!

Today’s challenge at All That Scraps  is Valentine’s Day Ideas ~ I was a bit “challenged” with this one and had to go with a simple VD card.    But, how could I resist when using this new adorable image from C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies ~ Violet with Key, Key & Lock and matching sentiment.

I had fun adding a little accordion style medallion on this card  . . .

My plan is to head back here later today to add all the specific details on this card!   I hope you understand, due to my numerous posts today.     If you have any questions in the meantime, don’t hesitate to drop me an email.

So, be sure to take a peek at the All That Scraps Challenge blog  for some awesome ideas for Valentine’s Day from the always amazing Design Team!

I hope you can stop back for my new 7 Kids College Fund challenge card AND after that, a new Sundays With Crissy challenge card!   Eeeeeek!

All That Scraps Challenge ~ Snowmen

Happy Wednesday!   Yep, time for a new challenge at All That Scraps.    Due to all the snow predictions across the country these past few days, we’re featuring SNOWMEN today!

I’ve used one of the snowmen from the Magnolia So Snowy collection ~ Frosty with Snowflake and the Snowy Circle.

It’s hard to tell from these photos, but there is a TON of glitter on this card … and my desk, and my clothes, and everywhere!     I’ve definitely learned the benefit of using good ol’ Stickles!

Be sure to take a peek at all the adorable SNOWMEN at the All That Scraps Challenge blog!    They’re sooo cute!

Thanks for visiting today – hope you’re having a good week!

All That Scraps ~ Tissue Box Covers

Our new challenge today at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog is Tissue Box Covers.    If you’re like me and buy tissue boxes to match the decor and colors for each room in your home, you’ll LOVE these SUPER easy to make covers.    There’s a great tutorial over at Splitcoast for making them.

Since this seems to be a very popular season for tissue use, due to the many viruses flying around – I thought it would be fun to make a First Aid tissue box cover using the adorable C.C. Designs Nurse Nora!    🙂

I’ve added some “feel better” sentiments to each side of the cover and some red crosses, the International Red Cross emblem.   These were made using a 1 inch square punch on the corners of  3×3 pieces of red cardstock.

Hopefully Nurse Nora will give some comfort to the next flu carrying member of the family!

Be sure to stop over at the All That Scraps Challenge blog to see all the gorgeous Tissue Box Covers.

I hope you’ll stop back a little later today for a new 7 Kids College Fund challenge

All That Scraps Challenge ~ New Year’s Ideas (Rose Bowl!)

Rose Bowl Princess!

Welcome back!   I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!    I, personally, am relieved it’s over!   It just gets a bit overwhelming trying to juggle it all during this crazy season.   I’m really looking forward to getting “back to normal” — whatever that is!

Our challenge today at All That Scraps is New Year’s Ideas –  party stuff, favors, decorations, etc.

Soooooooooooo, did you know that our UW-Madison Badger football team is in the Rose Bowl this year??!!

And, since the Rose Bowl is held on New Year’s Day, I thought this would be a PERFECT New Year’s idea!

Go Badgers!!     They are the predicted underdog, but all the excitement leading up to the game has certainly brought our college town to life.     I’ve used Rose Emma from the C.C. Designs Take a Seat collection for this, along with lots of paper roses on top of a Spellbinders beaded circle die cut.    The sentiments are computer generated and I found this team mascot Bucky Badger on the internet!

I did do another project for our New Year’s Ideas challenge – unfortunately, I made the numbers a bit too large for the little C.C.Designs Sugarplums party guys ~  Balloon Trevor & Emma, and Party Emma, so I wasn’t too happy with how this one turned out.

Here are some quick closeups of these cuties:

I hope you have a minute to pop over to the All That Scraps Challenge blog to take a peek at the always inspiring projects from the design team ladies.      Thanks for stopping in today!

This cutie pie Tilda is for today’s challenge at All That Scraps  ~ Christmas Flowers.    I really had fun with this one.    She’s called Reindeer Tilda from the 2010 Magnolia Merry Little Christmas collection.  I’ve used the new Spellbinders Beaded Ovals and added some white ink to the back of each circle trim piece.

Did you notice the jingle bell necklace Tilda is wearing? I had some matching teeny, tiny jingle bells in my stash and added those to each corner and on the centers of the poinsettia flowers . . .

All That Scraps Challenge ~ Gift Card Holders

Happy Wednesday!    Our challenge at the All That Scraps Wednesday blog is Gift Card Holders.   Just in time for the holidays.   I think gift cards and cash are beginning to be the safest and most popular gifts.

Lesa from ATS sent us a link to this awesome tutorial for a very cool and SUPER easy gift card holder found HERE.

Note, in this tutorial, the author uses a Word Window punch, which I don’t have.   I’ve substituted a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four  (second largest die)  for my holder ~ it was a perfect fit!    Here’s an inside shot:

As I said – SUPER fast and easy!    This adorable new little angel is from C.C. Designs Sugarplums collection ~ Christmas Angel.   In my opinion, she seemed to be perfect in gold!   So, I used some gold EP and colored her with Copics.    (Black EP does NOT work with Copics – it tends to bleed.   But I didn’t have any problems with the gold.)

If you’d like some inspiration to join us for this challenge, be sure to check out the awesome Gift Card Holders from the always amazing All That Scraps Design Team.

Happy Wednesday!   Time for a new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund ~ Thank you cardz, brought to us by the extremely nice and VERY creative Julie of the Design Team.     This little cutie is from Magnolia, of course!   She’s the  sitting bridesmaid  from the Wedding Collection.

I’ve used my very last sheet of this (my all-time favorite) piece of DP from the Basic Grey porcelain collection … so sad!   This coming from a true craft product horder.    lol

I’m trying to keep this short since I have two cardz to share, but HAD to let you know what the AMAZING prize is for one very lucky participant of this challenge  . . .

A $75.00 Gift Certificate to 7 Kids College Fund

What perfect timing just before Christmas!

The reason for the LARGE prize is that Tab, the owner of 7KCF, wanted to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and well wishes after her 18 year old son was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on Halloween!   Fortunately, he’s recovering and doing much better . . . you can find the details HERE.

So, with such an easy challenge, you have NO reason NOT to join us!   Be sure to take a peek at the awesome Thank You cardz from the Design Team.

    All That Scraps Challenge

Yay!   The totally amazing Amy Young has done it again!   She’s created four new fantastic images just in time for our new challenge this week at All That Scraps ~ Happy Birthday.     This adorable image is called Darby Cupcake.  (unfortunately, they are so new that I don’t find these stamps in the store yet.   I’ll be sure to update you when they are added.)

Can you tell I really enjoyed coloring this one?    I thought the green hair was perfect for this color combo.

Yes, I like dots!   I get it from my dear friend Sue Kment  – I hope she likes this one!    Please excuse the big glop of Stickles on the lightning bug’s light rays.   You know what they say – haste makes waste!   So true.    I’m being buried alive in Magnolia projects for the next Magnolia Ink!   Our deadline is Thursday, so I’m hoping to take a nice rest after that!   🙂
