HM & Friends Spooky Color Challenge BH!!

Happy House Mouse Monday!!

It’s definitely been way too long since I’ve said those words.

But, one of my favorite people in the whole wide world ~

the one and only MISS AMERICA

convinced me it was time to ink up one of these cuties and join my old teamies!!

It just so happens today is a fun BLOG HOP at the HM & Friends Monday Challenge Blog.

And the challenge is …

A Spooky Color Challenge ~

Orange, PurpleLime Green and Black

If you’ve come here today via the truly AWESOME Lorraine Aquilina’s blog (aka LOLS), you’re at the right place!  If you’ve just happened stopped by today to visit, I highly suggest you take some time to enjoy the start of your day and pop over to the  House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog for all the details.

I was super excited to find this lonely piece of  scrap paper I had in my scrap bin with the EXACT colors needed for today’s challenge.  Unfortunately,  I have absolutely no idea the name!

I do know that the stamp I’ve used is called Dino Treats.

These cuties were colored with Copics, of course … with a little added SMOOCH paint in green (to the dinosaur costume)

and a little orange to the pumpkin treat holder.

AND, I’ve followed my all-time favorite sketch challenge blog for this layout …

VERY Scary Cardz!

 Happy Weekend!!

It may be cold and rainy here in Wisconsin (a perfect day to spend playing with stamps!),

but it’s still THE WEEKEND ~ definitely a time to be cherished in our house!

It’s been a VERY long time since I’ve colored one of my (other) favorite stamps ~ the adorable little mice!!

My twin granddaughters, Hailee & Jordynn love coloring and seeing these images –

so I thought this cutie would make a perfect VERY scary Halloween card for one of them.

Sorry the picture is a little dark, I think I need to stop using so much of the metallic glittery papers!  Sigh.

The TRICK OR TREAT words were cut using my brand spanking new Silhouette Cameo!!

Seemed to be a perfect fit for Maxwell Mouse, aka COUNT MOUSE.

I came home from work yesterday, after a VERY long week to find a box by the front door!   Turns out a certain Mr. Nice Guy had decided to surprise me with this!!   OMG, was I ever SURPISED!!

I’m just amazed at all the fun things that can be done with this machine ~ Phew.  Thank goodness the weather is bad today.   🙂

Speaking of my MANY favorite images … this cutie, called WITCHY WRYN is a digi from Tiddly Inks.

She comes in a set with this perfectly matching sentiment.

In my search for new card layouts/sketches, I followed this week’s Sketch Challenge – SC406 at Splitcoast Stampers.

That’s it for me today, hope you weren’t too scared by these cuties!!    🙂

Thanks for stopping by, and Have a GREAT weekend!

LaLa Land & House Mouse ~ Monday!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying the gorgeous fall colors – it seems to have reached the peak here in Wisconsin.   I really hate to think what  comes after this!  blech.

We’ve got a new challenge for you today at LaLa Land Crafts Halloween.   Always a fun theme with these cuties.    This is Buccaneer Marci, isn’t she the cutest?!

The papers are from MME ~ Haunted Harlequin.  I always love using papers that are printed on the brown kraft paper.   She’s been colored with Copics, but I did use a white prisma pencil for her shirt and a Pilot gold marker for her earings, belt and buttons.

Be sure to pop over to the LaLa Land Crafts blog and take a peek at the awesome cards from the DT, you won’t be disappointed.

. . . AND, Happy House Mouse Monday!

Our challenge today at the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog is a color challenge: Black, Orange, Yellow,
Green.

(This allows those of us who celebrate Halloween to make Halloween
cards, and those that don’t celebrate Halloween to do something else.)

This cutie is COUNT MOUSE a/k/a Maxwell Mouse!    Scary guy, huh?  🙂

Be sure to pop over to the House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge blog to take a peek at the adorable little mice in their Halloween colors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

House Mouse Monday ~ Jewels

Happy House Mouse Monday my friends!

It’s time again for a new challenge at the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge blog!   Our challenge this week, brought to us by THE nicest, sweetest lady in blogland, my friend Miss America is adding JEWELS or jewelry to your card or project.    America not only chose this challenge, she also sent awesome surprise packages to each DT member with LOTS of different jewels, beads, charms … too much to list!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

For this cute little PRIMA Ballerina ~ actually named TWINKLE TOES, I’ve used a string of  silver beads – attached with double-sided super sticky tape, a silver charm for her crown  (we couldn’t have a PRIMA Ballerina without a crown!), some silver metal flowers to which four teeny, tiny silver circle beads were attached to the center.

Phew … thank goodness for bifocals!

Prima Ballerina

I also decided to take a stab at a Diamond Fold card, using Bette’s tutorial over at Splitcoast … after several attempts at this folding technique, I finally decided that you have to be smarter than the paper!   Apparently, I wasn’t for awhile.   But, eventually I got and really love the look of this type of card.

You’ll definitely want to take a peek at all the goregous jewel cards from the Design Team!!   And, hopefully, you can join us for this fun challenge.    All the details can be found HERE.

This challenge has been brought to us by my friend, the SUPER talented and very dear Heather of the HMDT.

What a perfect place for a little nap!    This really is one of my favorite HM stamps ~ Sleeping Under Flowers.   He sure looks comfy – I’d love to be in his place right now!

House Mouse Challenge No. 81 ~ Halloween

 Happy House Mouse Monday!

So, you may be wondering what these three “flying” Happy Hoppers have to do with Halloween!    Well, since old age is setting in … I THOUGHT our challenge this week at the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge blog was to make a Halloween card without a Halloween image.   So, after racking my brain, struggling away with this challenge and FINALLY finishing my card, I found out that the challenge was actually just Halloween!    Eeeeek!   (as Mudpie Mouse would say!)

Since I had my own personal challenge ~ when I came across this Hoppy Fliers stamp featuring Hop-It, Bumble & Itty Bit, it reminded me of the days when my kids would have too much SUGAR after collecting all their candy on Halloween night, and they would be bouncing off the walls!!   We quickly learned to put the candy away and distribute one piece at a time !!   LOL

This House Mouse sentiment, Candy-Ween ,  seemed perfect for these bouncing bunnies, along with a sticker that I’ve had in my stash for a long time . . .

Ahhhh, the good old days!   🙂

I hope you will join us for this fun challenge, even if you don’t use a Halloween image!  LOL    If you’re looking for some inspiration, be sure to check out the awesome Halloween projects from the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge blog Design Team – you’ll love em!

Thanks for stopping in today.   As promised, tomorrow will be another Snowman Tuesday    Smiley from millan.net  ~   hope you can stop back.
