Friendship is the sweetest flower

I am such a big fan of Elisabeth Bell ~ if it were possible, I think I would buy every single stamp she’s produced!!   I was really excited to see her new stamps from Ladybug & Friends, now available and in stock at 7 Kids College Fund.    This one is called  Hello Sunshine

I was able to follow this week’s Sketch Challenge, No. 265, from SCS ~ what a great sketch!

I’m afraid the sentiment is a little too large for this card, but I really wanted to use this from an older PTI set, called Green Thumb.   So I actually did a little tweaking of the Sketch to make room for the LARGE sentiment!  And to think,  I was just having a discussion yesterday about how I really have a hard time adding a lot of embellishments to my cards, I don’t like the “busy” look.   I think this one might fit into that category!   lol

The DP is from Basic Grey Origins collection.   The image was colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.    Here’s a photo which I’m hoping you can see the layers a little better …

Be sure to check out ALL the new Elisabeth Bell images from Ladybug & Friends, I think I’ll take one of each!   🙂

Higher and higher …

Yep, it’s another cute little bear from Ladybug and Friends called Up and Away.   He’s unfortunately no longer available at 7 Kids, although there are a few other equally cute bears still in stock from Joan Elliott for Ladybug and Friends that can be found here.

This guy was colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.  His clothes were paper pieced using the matching dp which is from My Mind’s EyeLove me do and the sentiment is computer generated.    The yellow velvet rik rak is from my stash and I’ve attached a heart brad to a yellow button along with a small red bow.   I think that’s it!

Thanks for stopping today – It’s almost Friday!!   Yay.

My Fairytale came true!

. . . the day I met You!

How about just ONE more from Ladybug and Friends?!      I”m a big fan of fairytales ~ always wishing they were true!   So, I really fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it since they look as though they stepped right out of a “fairy”tale!  I thought it would also make a great Valentine.    It’s called With Love, by Joan Elliott for Ladybug and Friends

The DP is from the new Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection.    The hearts are cut out with Spellbinders  Nestabilities Classic Heart and Scalloped Heart dies ~ which, by the way, have both been discontinued by the manufacturer, BUT are still in stock at 7 Kids College Fund!    I added some Stickles in Star Dust to their wings.

On a side note …    You know that feeling you get when you have ordered NEW stamps and the box has arrived and you’re just soooo excited???!!!

Well, I HAD to share this picture of my granddaughter, Hailee, as she opened one of the gifts from me for Christmas  —   her very own stamp set!!      (She looks a little crazy – but, exactly how I look when I get new stamps!!)    LOL

I just laugh every time I see this picture  ~   We’re both normally much more reserved!!    😀

Love is in the air!

Meet Birthday Teddy, by Joan Elliott for Ladybug and Friends stamps ~ now available at 7 Kids College Fund.   I thought he would work well with his heart balloon as a Valentine’s Day card.

I’m truly in love …  with these stamps!   🙂    If you’re not familiar with this company, you really NEED to check out Ladybug and Friends stamps!     7 Kids currently has some available as preorders that have been illustrated by Elizabeth Bell!

I had so much fun with Mr. Teddy that I had to make a second card!      For this card I used SEI Juliette DP ~  there are some very cool papers in this collection.

This card is a bit more subdued than the second, as you’ll see below!    I’ve paper-pieced Teddy’s shirt, hat and heart balloon.   The sentiment is computer generated.

So, get out your sunglasses – the next Birthday Teddy card is a bit brighter!

I was pretty excited to use the brand new Basic Grey Sugar Rush  DP on this one.   I again paper-pieced Teddy using three different papers from this set.   I really like ALOT of the papers from this collection and am very happy that BG released them BEFORE CHA!   Yay.

Hope you’re keeping warm – it seems to be unusually cold EVERYwhere lately!   Brrrrrrr….

P.S.  If you’re interested, I have added both of these cards, plus a few others to my ETSY store.    🙂
