It’s the Birthday Fairy …

. . .  50th Birthday, that is!    🙂

I’ve actually done this card before a little over a year ago in a much nicer teal color theme – but, my daughter needed a New Year’s Eve 50th Birthday card for her husband’s aunt, so I thought the black and silver would be appropriate!

This voluptuous fairy is by Mo Manning, and perfect, in my mind, for a 50th birthday fairy!

See what those of you who are under 50 have to look forward to?!!!    hehehe

Lots of silver stickles on this one.   I’ve colored her dress using mainly T (Toner Gray) Copic markers ~ my favorites.     Here’s a quick closeup of the dimension added with the separately colored and cut wings.

I love the combination of silver and black – especially for New Year’s Eve!   How exciting it would be to have birthday on this day!

Thanks for dropping in today!

 SUPPLIES USED:

Sparkle and shine!

OMGoodness, I worked soooo hard on this card!!!      Ugh.   Sorry the color is so bad on these pics!   But, believe me you, I’ve taken at least FIFTY different versions, just trying to have them appear to be more of what they actually look like IRL!   Seriously!!!   This card was colored in February of this year!!   It was for Suzanne Dean’s very first editon of her awesome magazine – Through the Craftroom Door.   For some reason, no matter how hard I tried, it just didn’t work.   This gorgeous image is from Mo Manning, called  ~ Fairy Tabia.

The papers used are from Memory Box –  Epiphany and Skylights.  I’ve highlighted around the image with Colorbox, Celadon and Distress, weathered wood.   Embellishments used:  Smooch Spritz, vanilla shimmer; Stickles, Stardust & Diamond; Bazzill Basics, self adhesive bling stones in white; Suze Weinberg’s Beadazzles; and Copics.

That’s it for this card!

As you may know, my life is at a standstill right now – trying to sell our house!!   Unfortunately, it’s in a town VERY near to a huge GM plant that was shut down earlier this year and things are not moving very quickly at all!    So, we’re looking for a miracle right now!    All prayers are appreciated.   🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Special Visitor!

Nooooo, she’s not a Christmas fairy!   Can you guess?

She’s a FIFTY FAIRY!!    lol

We’re going to a surprise 50th Birthday party tonight for my SIL and I thought this, as she is called “slightly chubby” Fairy by the mega talented Mo Manning would be perfect for her card.   I just added the number 50!   Easy peasy.    🙂

Here’s the inside of the card …

The DP is called Flutter Butter by Bo Bunny.   I added some Golden Rod Stickles to her wand, some number stickers that were colored with a Pilot Gold Marker and some glitter to her wings.   The wing section was cut out and attached to give her a 3-D look …

Once again it’s FRIDAY!!!    TGIF.    Hope you can stop back tomorrow ~ I signed up for the Bella Birthday Bash Blog Hop!    LOTS of participants, it should be fun!

Hello!   Glad you could stop by today.  I decided to take a break and just color an image that I have been dying to get to ~ from my all-time favorite illustrator, Mo Manning

I’ve been doing so many Christmas cards recently between the Magnolia Ink Magazine and the new Gillian Roberts’ images, that I almost didn’t have a chance for any fall or Halloween cards!!    And, I LOVE all the colors associated with this season – so, this is Bat Cat from the amazing Mo Manning.

I really had fun coloring this little cutie!   I’m always amazed at the intricate details Mo manages to add to each of her drawings, and I LOVE to color them with my Copics!   Added a little Smooch pearlized paint in Green Apple for Mr. Cat’s eyes.   I was also pretty excited to finally be able to use these little purple rhinestone spiders from Making Memories!    In case you didn’t know – I am a total purple addict; So, the minute I saw these in the store, I knew I HAD to have em!     🙂

Lots of red on this one, which is SUCH a hard color to photograph!    I used some Fun Flock, for the first time evah for the brim of her hat  ~   It was fun!!   lol     The DP used is from Creative Imaginations.  Also added some Stickles in Antique Linen to the stars on the top package and the star on her hat.

TGIF!!    I’m sooooooooooo  looking forward to a three-day weekend!   Lot’s of card challenges to get ready.    🙂

Copic Creations Challenge No. 11 ~ Favorite Color Combinations

DSC_7708a

Eskimo Kisses!

Hard to believe it’s September 1st, and time for another Copic Creations challenge  ~ Favorite Copic Color Combinations.    What a fun challenge!   And, only because it’s being sponsored by Mo’s Digital Pencil!   If you haven’t seen Mo’s designs, you HAVE to check them out.   Every drawing she does works so amazingly well with Copic markers.     Mo supplied our choice of image from her store for this challenge ~   I chose Siku & Shiya  ~  I fell in love at first sight!   🙂

I added a little  Smooch paint in Moonlight  for the look of snow and used My Mind’s Eye Signature Christmas Holiday Glitter Book DP since it included two of my favorite Copic Color combinations – the E40s and BG colors.   I tried to make the card itself a little less cluttered than normal to really highlight the image.

I just think these two little ones  are soooooooooooo cute!   And, of course, I didn’t need to think very hard to come up with a sentiment   …

Tu-Tu Cute! :)

DSC_7279a

I think I’m the last one in blog-land to finally purchase one of the amazing digi images from Mo’s Digital Pencil Too.   I’ve seen so many cards made with these adorable images, but never had any spare time to actually color one ~ however, this morning when I saw this so, so cute Two Tu-Tus image, I couldn’t resist!   Being the grandma of twin little girls, I’m just slightly partial to twin images.    I think these two are the cutest ever!   If you haven’t yet discovered this very talented artist’s blog … you HAVE to take a peek. I know you’ll be amazed!

I decided not to add any embellishments, since the little girls are enough by themselves.  The DP is from DCWV, Nana’s Kids with Glitter.   Used my  Spellbinders smallest Star die  to cut out two star  images from the DP.   Added LOTS of  Stickles in Star Dust  to their tu-tus, wings and wands, and just a touch of  Moonlight Smooch  for their tights.

Hope you’re having a great weekend …  Thank you for dropping by today!
