This cute little turkey is of course illustrated by Crissy Armstrong for Squigglefly  and called Thy Cart Overfloweth!    I added the “Go Vegan” sentiment to his t-shirt!

We have a fantastic prize package for one lucky winner of this challenge ~ Your choice of FIVE digi images by Crissy and a beautiful pad of design paper.   All the details can be found at Sundays With Crissy.    While you’re there, be sure to check out the amazing samples from the uber talented Design Team ladies – I know you’ll be amazed!

I also wanted to show you that this card is a TRIPLE layer!   I really wanted Mr. Turkey to stand out!

Sundays with Crissy ~ Layers

Hello!    Thanks for stopping by today for a new challenge at Sundays with Crissy.   Our challenge this week is Layers ~ open to your own interpretation.   Another easy one for me since I usually layer my cards often, starting with cutting out the image and mounting it with dimensionals.

For this card, I’ve used Crissy’s adorable Oswalda Goes Shopping from Squigglefly. I thought she would make a great card for soooo many occasions.

The dp is from the Basic Grey cappella collection ~ I thought the flowers on the first mat paper matched Oswalda’s flower on her hat pretty well!    I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight dies for this card, added some liquid pearls to her necklace and regular self-adhesive pearls in various spots on the card.  The ribbon and primas are from my stash.

You MUST stop over at the Sundays with Crissy blog to see all the GORGEOUS creations from the Design Team ~ you’ll be amazed!    I hope you can join us for this challenge – all the details can be found HERE.

OMG!!!

Please forgive my complete and utter excitement!!!    I just HAD to let you know who I received an email from yesterday!!!!    Crissy Armstrong!!    Yes, she has chosen her “Crew“!    And, guess who she actually asked to join her??    Moi!    😀    I was over the moon with excitement!   Way back when,  when I applied to be on Crissy’s DT,  I told you what an amazing artist she is and how thrilled I’d be to be on her team, so this is like a dream come true!!!   Woooo Hoooo!

She has chosen a truly AMAZING group of VERY talented ladies for the team.  I’m really honored to be working with them all.   Our first challenge will be next Sunday, May 9th, so you’ll have a chance to meet everyone!!

In celebration, I made a card today using one of Crissy‘s adorable images!   This image is called Forgiven? and is available for immediate download at Squigglefly!

I found this Basic Grey paper at Archivers, it’s called Max and Whiskers.  It has some adorable dog and cat themed papers, so I knew I had to pull it out for this cutie!    The “dog house” is a gold paper from this collection that was embossed with the Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder for a faux wood look and highlighted with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Well, all I can say is that I’ve had a GOOD weekend!    🙂    I hope you have too.   Thanks for dropping by to hear my newz!     Don’t forget, our first challenge for Sunday’s with Crissy will be next Sunday, May 9th ~ I can’t wait!

 Copics Used:   Y23, 26, 28:  E37, 41, 43, 44, 47, 77;  YR18;  W0, 1, 3;  T1, 3, 5

I’m SOOOOO excited!!!

You may have heard me mention several times how VERY much I love the super talented Crissy Armstrong.   Everything she designs, both her illustrations and her coloring always blow me away.   Needless to say, I’m a huge fan of her work.    WELL, she just announced today that she is creating a new Design Team and blog to coordinate with ALL of her amazingly adorable images!!      I don’t think I’ve been this excited in a long time!    🙂

All the details can be found on Crissy’s blog HERE.    Sooo, guess who’s applying for a DT position???   Yup, me!   And, I want ALL of my friends out there to try out too!   It would be so much fun to be on a team with so many of you!    So hurry over to Crissy’s blog for all the details!

I almost forgot ~  I made a card for my “official” application to Crissy’s Design Team, using this so cute elephant, Ellie, illustrated of course by Crissy!!    The image is available at Squigglefly.com, along with LOTS of other awesome images by Crissy.

I missed a friend’s recent birthday and joked that I should tie a string around my finger to remind me of these important dates.  So this card is for her from me, since we all know elephants aren’t known for their memory!    The balloon is attached by real thread.

The dp is from the brand new Basic Grey green at heart 6×6 collection, which I love!    I used the Martha Stewart corner loop punch around the circle and on the corners.   If anyone is interested, I could do a tutorial on how to use the corner punches on round shapes – just let me know.

So run, don’t walk – go to Crissy’s blog and tryout for what I’m sure will be a VERY fun Design Team to be a part of!!

Copic Creations Challenge ~ Fur

Now that’s ALOT of FUR!!

A VERY Happy New Year to you my friends!   And, thanks for stopping by today for another Copic Creations Challenge.   Our Copic technique challenge this week is coloring FUR ~ sponsored by Squigglefly, an awesome digital stamp company.   One of my very favorite, extremely talented stamp designers and a SUPER sweet person – Crissy Armstrong, is one of the artists for Squigglefly.   Crissy designed this totally adorable image called Three Cat Pile-up.   (FYI, she also designed Luigi from my previous post!)

We’re also very excited to have Crissy as our special Guest Designer for the Copic Creations Challenge ~ be sure to check out all the awesome furry cuties by the VERY talented CCDT, including a sneak peek of a new image designed by Crissy for Squigglefly!

You may notice the little mouse charm attached to the bow on this card ~ It was a gift from from my dear HM friend America!   I thought he would be perfect for this card, as he stands there looking quite confident.   It does appear HE was the winner of this cat and mouse chase!       😀

The Winner!

Thanks again for visiting today!    Hope you can join us in the challenge.
