Copic Creations ~ We’ve got the BLUES!

Hello my long lost friends!    It seems like ages since I’ve posted.    Actually …  it HAS been ages!!    I’ve really missed you all.

This card is for today’s  Copic Creations challenge  ~ Copic coloring of

. . .  BLUES  . . .

I think between the Bs, BGs and BVs there are more blue toned colors than any other in the Copic family.   If you’d like to see the always amazing Design Team’s favorite blue combos, be sure to pop over to the challenge blog.   You’ll definitely be inspired!

Our sponsor this week is the one and only Sugar Nellie!!    I seriously LOVE, love, love these images from the Simply Adorable collection, now available as DIGITAL images from Sugar Nellie

And, after packing ALLLLL my craft supplies last week …  believe me, digis are SOOOOOOOO much easier to pack!   LOL

This “simply adorable”  little girl is a Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable digi image called Connie.   She truly was a pleasure to color ~  I love images like this where the artist supplies lots of shading lines which really makes coloring them a JOY!

***Edited to add:    The lovely background image is called Daffodil Dell  ~  a digi image from Make It Crafty!!

I hope you’ll join us for this challenge by including some BLUE Copic colors in your card ~  YOU could be the lucky winner of FOUR stamps from Sugar Nellie!!    All the details can be found HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!    Saturday is “moving day”!!

Sweet Daisy ~ Sugar Bowl Challenge

Happy Weekend!    I’ve really liked this Sugar Nellie image, Daisy, for such a long time and finally broke down and bought her!  She’s such a cutie.   My card is for the latest Sugar Bowl Challenge, which features a great sketch ~ with a “please include option” of LACE!     I don’t use lace on my cardz very often – so this was quite the challenge.     I did happen to have some white lace daisies in my stash, from ~ I have absolutely no idea when, where or why!!

Here’s the sketch we were to follow …

Marlene

and, here’s my take on it.

I added a little Smooch paint in Moonlight to the petals of the flowers in Daisy’s hair to try to make them pop a bit and on her belt.   The DP is from My Mind’s Eye, Just Dreamy 2.   I also used my R27 Copic marker to color the center of each daisy on the lace trim.

They have a fantastic prize of SIX “super sweet, utterly adorable, brand new Manga Sugar Nellies” up for grabs this week!    I’m keeping my fingers crossed!!    🙂

Have a great weekend everyone and take care.   I’ll be back on Monday with two cardz ~ since it will be a double-header Monday ~ Copic Creations AND House Mouse Monday!!    Yay.
