7 Kids College Fund ~ Hot or Cold … Choose Your Extreme!

Phew – my 2nd post for today!    We’ve got a new challenge for you over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog, along with a new Design Team!      For our challenge, we’re taking our cue from the popular Hot ‘n Cold song by Katy Perry . . .

“You’re hot then you’re cold
You’re yes then you’re no
You’re in and you’re out
You’re up and you’re down”

***  HOT or COLD  …  Choose Your Extreme! ***

Since I live in Wisconsin and am definitely tired of COLD, I HAD to go with HOT!    I thought this cutie from the Greeting Farm, Cheeky Glamour, was a great image to depict HOT!    🙂

I’ve used a MS edge and corner heart punch for the border and a small heart punch from the $1 section at Target for the small red and pink hearts.

I do think I had a little too much fun with this one!   I’ve had some white craft boa feathery material for ages – not quite sure why!   So, I added glue to her boa and cut small pieces of the craft boa … all I can say is  DO NOT try this in the middle of your crafting area – you’ll end up with feathers EVERYWHERE!    LOL    I also added some polar white flower soft and star dust Stickles to fill it in a bit.    Her fish net stockings were drawn in with a Copic multiliner.

The sentiment is computer generated and the lip prints were found on the on the internet – it’s amazing what you can find!

I hope you will join us for this fun challenge!    We’ve got a great prize too ~  A $20.00 Gift Certificate from 7 Kids College Fund towards your choice of any of the new Belles ‘n Whistles rubber stamps, now up for preorder at 7KCF!

All the details on this challenge and the awesome sample cards from the new DT can be found at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Copic Creations Challenge ~ Black Hair

Yay!   Time for a new Copic Creations Challenge!    Not an easy challenge this time for me, fortunately the images from our sponsor are soooooooo ADORABLE ~ The Greeting Farm!    I chose Grad Anya for my card.

Having absolutely no mojo after coloring this cutie, I really needed some inspiration for the layout.  So I went to one of my favorite blogs ~ Kim Teasdale, Paper in the Works and saw this awesome card by Kim and thought it would be perfect for Grad Anya!     The papers are from Bo Bunny and the sentiment is computer generated.   Notice the REAL tassel on her cap???     🙂

I hope you can join us for this challenge at Copic Creations.   Since black hair can be pretty tricky and often ends up looking more gray, we’ve included several amazing tutorials to help.   But, you really NEED to take a peek at the ADORABLE creations for the CCDT – they never cease to amaze me with their talent!

Thanks for stopping in today – hope you’re having a good one!

I’ve got your back . . .

I’m starting out the week with my first attempt at a challenge from The Greeting Farm.   I just can’t get enough of these soooooo-very cute stamps!   I really had fun with this one.    I used one of the Cheeky Shooter  images from The Greeting Farm, which are now being carried at 7 Kids College Fund!

The challenge this week at Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm  is this awesome Sketch . . .

And, here’s my card . . .

For some reason, the sentiment on my card is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this cutie ~ it’s a little joke between one of my friends and I, so I thought this image would be perfect!

I was trying to give a Wild West feeling to the card, so I added lots of 3 mm self-adhesive nailheads and the brown and white checkered ribbon.   The dp is from Bo Bunny.

The Cheeky Shooter was colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.   I used a stylus pen to make some parts of the image more pliable and add some additional dimension.  Like I said, I had fun!    I definitely needed a break from my Magnolia DT cards, they NEED to be sent to Sweden in two weeks!!!    Yikes.

Thanks for stopping by today.   I appreciate it!

Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Monday!    Hope you all had a good weekend.

I think everyone knows that I have a thing for CUTEness.   So, as soon as I saw this image, I thought she was a DEFINITE cutie!   🙂     She is from the Hope & Grace series by The Greeting Farm, called Snuggle.   Just a reminder that  7 Kids College Fund now carries The Greeting Farm stamps.     This one seemed just about perfect, holding her little bunny, for a very CUTE Easter card!

The dp is from Memory Box Gossamer Collection ~ Cool Beans and Flitter.   The image was colored with Copics, cut out and attached with dimensionals.   I added this fun trim that I had found at my LSS last year around this time, thinking it reminded me of “bunny tails”!    And, the sentiment, from the I Brake For Stamps new Easter release, was heat embossed with white EP.    (SAVE10MARY code for 10% off your entire purchase from IBFS.)

I added some of my favorite embellishments – these tiny little pink flower baubles, with a small pearl I adhered to the centers.

Thanks for stopping by today.   Tomorrow will be time for a new Skipping Stones Sketch challenge – hope you can stop back!

Skater Ian

Happy Weekend!    Just a quick post for you today showing you a card I made for my grandson, Justus, who celebrated his . . .  {cough, cough} 11th Birthday recently!!     It’s pretty scary when you GRANDkids are getting up there!   🙂

I used Skater Ian  from The Greeting Farm.   What adorable images – now available at 7 Kids College Fund!

The dp is from the Stamping Station and called Skateboarding – Live For.  Ian was colored with Copics, cut out and mounted with dimensionals.    The number 11 was created by me!  🙂   (pretty easy number)  and cut from some Basic Grey dp I had.   I added some silver self-adhesive stars that were colored black with Copics.

Thanks for stopping in today.   Don’t forget Monday I’ll have two cardz – Copic Creations AND House Mouse!    Hope you can stop back.
