February 1st ~ We’re definitely getting CLOSER to seeing tulips! But, today it’s time for another Copic Creations Challenge. Our challenge was to use Feather Blending with Copic markers. We’ve included links to some great tutorials to help with this technique. I really love feather blending, but had such a hard time doing it with this small of an image. So the main feather blending is done on the tulips.
To be very honest with you, the whole red and turquoise theme for this card started with that little tulip ribbon! I’ve had it in my stash forever and really thought it would work well will this stamp. The image is from a new Victoria Case collection recently released at Susana Custom Art and Card Design, our sponsor for this challenge. Each DT member was given an image from the Aurora Collection for their card. The sentiment for my card was computer generated.
I hope you can take a peek at all the adorable little pixies over at the CC blog. While you’re there, be sure to check out the awesome prize package being awarded to one lucky participant!
I was super excited because one of my all time favorite Copic masters, Linda Heavens, was able to join us for this challenge! You really NEED to stop by her blog to see some of her amazing “works of art”!
Thanks for stopping by today – Next up is House Mouse Monday!! 😀
