Awwwww … this cute little pup is for my monthly Sundays With Crissy challenge post!    Isn’t he soooooooo cute?!    He’s called IN THE DOGHOUSE by Crissy Armstrong and available as a digi image at Whimsy Stamps.   I thought he would work perfect for one of my grand kids who has been sick with the stomach flu.

Now it’s your turn to show us your Flower themed card!! There will be five free digi’s given
to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end
of the month.   Still plenty of time left!

from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But

Sundays With Crissy ~ Ribbons

Well, if you’ve stopped by earlier you know this is my third challenge card for today!  (If you’re looking for my 7 Kids College Fund card, it’s HERE, and if you’re looking for my All That Scraps card, it’s HERE

This gorgeous horse is for the new challenge at Sundays With Crissy  ~ Ribbons.

(Don’t worry,  it’s really not Sunday – Crissy’s challenge is now held on a monthly basis and each DT member is responsible for a particular day each month.   Today’s my day!)

I was so excited to have the opportunity to color Crissy’s newest carousel horse ~ Dance of Love.   And, yes ~ I do love him!   🙂

As you can see, I’ve wrapped some narrow pink (REALLY bright!) ribbon around the pole and tied a double-looped bow for the top for our RIBBON challenge this month.

My post is a little late today since I saw the tutorial this morning at Splitcoast Stampers on a Sliding Pop-Up card and thought it would be perfect for this image!

This is how the card appears folded  ~

and then when you pull the brown tab at the bottom,  you see this   . . .

Gorgeous Mr. Dance of Love in all his splendor!
Here’s another photo with a different angle:

And finally, here’s a closeup of the sentiment sticker from Basic Grey’s Bittersweet collection:

Peace on Earth

It’s Friday!    Hallelujah!    It’s been a long week and I’m looking forward to the weekend and, HOPEFULLY, getting some Christmas cookies made.     (fingers crossed!)

My card today is really pretty “clean & simple” … I didn’t want to distract from the gorgeous image and sentiment.    I seriously just love this angel, illustrated by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy.   She’s called Praying Angel.

This gorgeous DP is from Memory Box’s Christmas paper collection called Mistletoe and I thought it was perfect for this image.   Added the sentiment and I thought that was enough — Clean & Simple!

Thanks for dropping by today.   I hope you have a great weekend.

Copic Creations Challenge:

Happy Wednesday and December 1st!!   Can you believe it?!    Time is flying by.    We have a great challenge this week at the Copic Creations blog . . . one that I think many struggle with ~ LIGHT SOURCE – where light hits and creates shadows.    And, we have an awesome sponsor, one of my most favorite!   Whimsy Stamps ~ with a couple of awesome prizes!!    Better check it out HERE.

I totally fell in LOVE with this adorable image illustrated by the awesome Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy.   It’s called Touched by Love and is a brand new image being released today!    I added the star, hoping to make my “light source” a little more pronounced.

I hope you can pop over to the Copic Creations Challenge blog to take a peek at the other Whimsy images showcased by the always amazing Copic Creations Design Team!    They’re the best!!

All That Scraps Challenge:

Nope, our challenge this week is NOT sparkle!   But boy did I go a little overboard with the sparkle on this one!!   Eeek.   The actual challenge this week at All That Scraps is SNOWFLAKES.     This gorgeous image from the awesome Amy Young is another brand new release for the month of December at All That Scraps.

Sundays With Crissy ~ Red, Green & Gold

Don’t worry, it’s NOT Sunday yet!   The Sundays With Crissy challenge blog is now held on a monthly basis, and each DT member has an assigned day each month to post their card for that month’s challenge  ~  My day is the 19th!

This ADORABLE Little Christmas Angel by Crissy Armtrong for Whimsy Stamps is brand new this month and I just love her.  She’s a digi image and available for immediate download.

The DP is called Holiday Traditions by K&Co and actually shows bits and pieces of several recipes!   Since I thought the holly sprigs would match the holly in her hair and the colors were perfect for this challenge ~  I HAD to use it!   I was able to align her perfectly to avoid including any recipes!   yay.

I love the little bird she is holding.  To coordinate him with our theme, I’ve colored him to look somewhat like a baby cardinal.   The angel wings were embossed in my Cuttlebug and I then added a small amount of gold glitter.

So, I hope you will join us for this challenge.   All the details can be found at the Sundays With Crissy challenge blog.  We’ve got a great prize this month and you have until November 30th to join in.

Thank you for stopping by today!    I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Grandma’s Little Princess! :)

Yay!   I finally had the opportunity to color my granddaughter Anna’s image by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps!    I can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed this one!   🙂     For those you may have missed proud grandma’s post about this image – here’s a picture that Crissy used to make Anna into a stamp . . .

It was hard to find some pretty Halloween paper – unfortunately all I had “in stock” was this raspberry colored DP from heidi grace designs called Halloween Tinsel Shimmer Foiled paper ~ So, I of course had to change the color of her dress to match!

This extremely cute brand new digi image is now available at Whimsy Stamps.   As I mentioned the other day, I’d LOVE to see your card if you happen to purchase the stamp and make a card.

We’ve had some chilly fall weather here in Wisconsin the past few days, so I had to share this photo of the last (sniff, sniff) of the hydrangeas from the garden.  I was happy to have rescued them before the frost hit!   Now if you’re like me and a true Copic addict, you’ll see all the beautiful BVs here . . .   lol

Thanks for visiting.   Hope you’re having a great week!

Welcome to the Holiday Release Blog Hop for Whimsy Stamps,  celebrating NINE new holiday stamps and stamp sets from my favorite WS illustrators Crissy Armstrong and Raindrop Echo Designs.  All nine stamps and sets are available today at Whimsy Stamps

I was so happy to have the opportunity to finally color one of Crissy’s carousel horses!    This, of course, is her Christmas design called Jingle Bell Ride and I just love him!

Once again, I’ve used the VERY cool paper from Basic Grey’s new jovial paper pad for my card – In case you missed it, I did a sneak peek of one of Ann Vento’s new images also with this paper – here.

This gorgeous guy is all decked out for the holidays and would be perfect for a special Christmas card.   The matching sentiment is part of a set included with the carousel horse ~ Jingle Bell Ride.    Seems to be a slight glare from the gold embossing in this photo, so here’s a quick closeup view …

Whimsy Stamps Sneak Peek!

Hehehe … tis the season ~ ALREADY!    I was sooo very excited when Denise, the owner of Whimsy Stamps, contacted me to ask if I would be interested in joining them to show some sneak peeks of their new holiday images!!    Since my good friends, Crissy Armstrong and Ann Vento are two of their amazing illustrators ~ how could I possibly refuse?

I really had fun with this one!    How perfect for so many people on your Christmas card list ~  fellow crafters or your own santa!   Of course my list is everything I NEED for crafting!!    Wouldn’t that be a wonderful day to receive all this?!    🙂

This image was illustrated by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs, who has the most wonderful collection of digi sentiments, customized signature digis, watermark digis and now actual customized signature rubber stamps over at Whimsy Stamps.   She’s one talented lady – I’ve told her it’s time to quit her day job!   🙂

I also received an early surprise Christmas present, at least it felt that way, from a dear friend – Jami Bova!!    The package was filled with LOTS of awesome goodies, including this brand new Basic Grey jovial paper pad.    OMGoodness, I love every single sheet!!    (I think I say that with each new collection from BG!   But it’s so true)  Sending HUGE hugz to Jami – you’re the best!

Tomorrow is the official blog hop showcasing some of Whimsy’s new holiday images  from both Ann and Crissy …  I hope you can stop back!

Happy weekend!

EXTRA Special New Image!!

Have you heard the news????!!

My gorgeous grandaughter, Anna, is now a stamp!    😀

Yep!   Awhile ago I made a card for Anna (here) and Crissy Armstrong fell in love with her photo!    She took the photo and turned it into a brand new Halloween image for Whimsy Stamps!!    How cool is that??

Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled to see this ADORABLE image, now available as a digi stamp over at Whimsy!!    I HIGHLY recommend your purchase of this cutie!     (Noo, I’m not biased at all!)

I guarantee you will be seeing a card using this adorable new image VERY soon!

If anyone does purchase the stamp and make a card … I’d LOVE to see it – PLEASE be sure to send me a link!

Sundays With Crissy ~ Sparkle & Shine and Life’s Lessons

Shiver me timbers, it be time for a new post at Sundays With Crissy!!

I couldn’t resist  . . .  Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day!  If you’re interested, here’s a link to everything you’ve ever wanted to know about this fun day.

 Awwwww —

Now who could possibly be angry at this adorable little face  ~ even after she’s chewed up your Jimmy Choos!!?    You can almost hear her saying …   I’m too cute to be angry at ~ I love you!

This cutie, illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and appropriately named Miss Innocent, is a new release this month and available for immediate download at Whimsy Stamps.   I thought she would be perfect for our Sparkle and Shine challenge since she seems to be a perfect “little princess“!

Although, you may be wondering just what exactly do Life’s Lessons have to do with this cutie??!!     Well, one of my all-time favorite lists of Life’s Lessons is this one . . .

*Note, No. 10  is a tough one, but VERY applicable to this cutie!

I thought it would be fun to include this list with Miss Innocent on an easel style card that the recipient could display and be reminded of these lessons.

So, I hope you will join us for this challenge ~  there’s still plenty of time left!   All the details can be found in Crissy’s original post HERE.

Avast me Hearties ~ have a great day . . . or walk the plank!!!

Sundays With Crissy ~ Monochrome

Happpy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day!    I hope you’re having a great day.   It’s time for a new challenge at Sundays With Crissy.   This week we’re covering Monochrome cards ~  I’ll bet you’ll NEVER guess who suggested this challenge!???   🙂     Yep, it is my favorite.    This awesome image, illustrated by Crissy Armstrong, called Daddy’s Heartbeat, is available as a digi image from Whimsy Stamps.   I thought it was a perfect stamp for Father’s Day.

I’ve added a bit of color this time – a slight pink (E04) to their lips and cheeks and the flower on the little girl’s hat …. ohh, and of course her finger nails too!   The Copic markers I used  (E70s) seem to have a somewhat natural pink/reddish tone to them, so it was very easy to incorporate some color without it being too harsh.    You can find the colors used at the end of this post.

The DP is from the Basic Grey cappella 6×6 paper pad … I really LOVE these papers!    I added a small bow using some brown crinkled ribbon from my stash, and attached a small heart charm.

The sentiment is also a digi.   It is part of a set of sentiments and word art designed especially to coordinate with this image by Rainbow Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps, called Daddy’s Heartbeat Sentiments ~  Although they are all appropriate for LOTS of others images and cards.

I’ve used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Six dies for the sentiment.   The main image has been cut with the Petite Ovals Large dies.    The pearls in each corner were colored with an E70 Copic marker and the brown swirls on the center of the card were cut with an EK Success punch.

I hope you can stop over at the Sundays With Crissy blog to see the always amazing creations from the talented ladies on Crissy’s Crew ~ You won’t be disappointed.    We’ve decided with everyone’s busy schedules during the summer to run this challenge for four weeks.   It will run until July 18th ~  So you will have plenty of time to join us for this really fun challenge!   To sweeten the deal, Crissy will be having TWO PRIZES!!

For Jayme . . .

As you may have heard, my friend – Lisa Cook, who I am lucky enough to work with on both the House Mouse & Friends Challenge and Sundays with Crissy design teams, has asked for cards for her sister, Jayme.   Tragically, Jayme has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.   Jayme loves and collects frogs, so Lisa thought some funny frog cards might help cheer her up.

This toad-aly cute frog, called  Beach Baby Jayme, has been designed specifically for this task by the one and only, so very kind ~  Crissy Armstrong!   The image is available at Whimsy Stamps.   AND, believe it or not, it’s being offered at NO CHARGE!!    You can download the image HERE.

Lisa has been kind enough to gather some great blog candy from several SUPER companies ~ all you have to do to be eligible for a chance to win,  is make a card for Jayme!    All the details and Jayme’s mailing address can be found on Lisa’s blog.

Quick details on this card . . .  The DP is from the brand new Cosmo Cricket mini deck ~ DeLovely.   (I LOVE  it!)    The pink felt flower ribbon is from Michaels and the sentiment is computer generated.   Beach Baby Jayme has been colored with Copics.

I hope you can find some time to make a card for Jayme.    Thank you!
