Exciting Newz to share ~ plus Copic Creations & All That Scraps Challenges

Some exciting newz to  share!!   I was soooo excited to have been asked by the Editor of Scrap Street.com Magazine if they could use one of my Phindy’s Place Christmas Cuties cardz in their Holiday magazine edition being released today!!

If you haven’t heard of it, it is an online scrapbooking magazine, five years running, with over a million hits a month!   I hope you have a minute to take a peek!     😀

And what great timing by WordPress to add the falling snow today!

All the details on this card can be found in the ScrapStreet.com Magazine here

Copic Creations Challenge:

Happy Wednesday and December 1st!!   Can you believe it?!    Time is flying by.    We have a great challenge this week at the Copic Creations blog . . . one that I think many struggle with ~ LIGHT SOURCE – where light hits and creates shadows.    And, we have an awesome sponsor, one of my most favorite!   Whimsy Stamps ~ with a couple of awesome prizes!!    Better check it out HERE.

I totally fell in LOVE with this adorable image illustrated by the awesome Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy.   It’s called Touched by Love and is a brand new image being released today!    I added the star, hoping to make my “light source” a little more pronounced.

I hope you can pop over to the Copic Creations Challenge blog to take a peek at the other Whimsy images showcased by the always amazing Copic Creations Design Team!    They’re the best!!

All That Scraps Challenge:

Nope, our challenge this week is NOT sparkle!   But boy did I go a little overboard with the sparkle on this one!!   Eeek.   The actual challenge this week at All That Scraps is SNOWFLAKES.     This gorgeous image from the awesome Amy Young is another brand new release for the month of December at All That Scraps.

Be sure to pop over to the All That Scraps Challenge blog to see all the SNOWFLAKE samples from the DT – I know you’ll be inspired to join us!

7 Kids College Fund & All That Scraps Challenges

7 Kids College Fund Challenge

Happy Wednesday!   Time for a new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund ~ Thank you cardz, brought to us by the extremely nice and VERY creative Julie of the Design Team.     This little cutie is from Magnolia, of course!   She’s the  sitting bridesmaid  from the Wedding Collection.

I’ve used my very last sheet of this (my all-time favorite) piece of DP from the Basic Grey porcelain collection … so sad!   This coming from a true craft product horder.    lol

I’m trying to keep this short since I have two cardz to share, but HAD to let you know what the AMAZING prize is for one very lucky participant of this challenge  . . .

A $75.00 Gift Certificate to 7 Kids College Fund

What perfect timing just before Christmas!

The reason for the LARGE prize is that Tab, the owner of 7KCF, wanted to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and well wishes after her 18 year old son was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on Halloween!   Fortunately, he’s recovering and doing much better . . . you can find the details HERE.

So, with such an easy challenge, you have NO reason NOT to join us!   Be sure to take a peek at the awesome Thank You cardz from the Design Team.

All That Scraps Challenge

Yay!   The totally amazing Amy Young has done it again!   She’s created four new fantastic images just in time for our new challenge this week at All That Scraps ~ Happy Birthday.     This adorable image is called Darby Cupcake.  (unfortunately, they are so new that I don’t find these stamps in the store yet.   I’ll be sure to update you when they are added.)

Can you tell I really enjoyed coloring this one?    I thought the green hair was perfect for this color combo.

Yes, I like dots!   I get it from my dear friend Sue Kment  – I hope she likes this one!    Please excuse the big glop of Stickles on the lightning bug’s light rays.   You know what they say – haste makes waste!   So true.    I’m being buried alive in Magnolia projects for the next Magnolia Ink!   Our deadline is Thursday, so I’m hoping to take a nice rest after that!   🙂

Be sure to pop over to the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog to see all the wonderful creations from the always amazing DT AND the other three new images from Amy Young.

Phew, thanks for dropping by today.

All That Scraps ~ Color Challenge

I just can’t get enough of the gorgeous mermaids by Amy Young from All That Scraps Sweet November collection.   This one is called Ocean Wavedancer, with her little pal dolphin ~   I just love his cute smile!

We have a fun challenge for you this week ~ the colors Chocolate, Aqua and Kraft.    I’ve never thought to use these three together, but I love it!    Here’s the full card . . .

I hope you’ll give this color combo a try.   As they say “try it, you’ll like it!”    🙂     Be sure to stop over at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge to see all the other awesome color challenge cards.   We’ve got two new designers on the team starting this week.    They are both SUPER talented and very, very sweet ladies!     Rachel Schneider  & Risa West.     Welcome aboard ladies, it’s so nice to work with you!!

All That Scraps Challenge ~ Double Pocket Card

Wednesday already?!!  . . . and the last Wednesday of July ~ Ugh!   It’s amazing how quickly summer goes by compared to —–  I can’t even say the word, but you know what I mean!   LOL  (remember, I live in Wisconsin!)

Our challenge today is a Double Pocket card.   There are two awesome tutorials at Splitcoast ~ one for a straight double-pocket card and one for a diagonal double-pocket card.    Since I’ve never tried either, I went for the diagonal.

I was so excited to color one of the newest mermaids (and adorable friends) from the truly awesome Amy Young for Sweet November stamps by C.C. Designs.    This one is called Shimmer Redkelp.   Rumor has it that her bandana is an “ode to Bret Michaels” !!

So, I hope you can pop over to the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog to take a peek at all the awesome double-pocket cards from the amazing DT . . . AND, join us for this challenge!     [PLEASE NOTE:  Sometimes the ATS challenge blog does not update until later in the morning due to different time zones.]

On a side note . . .

  • Phew, I’ve been totally blown away and actually close to tears reading all of  the sincerely wonderful comments left on the post for my Two-Year Anniversay!    Thank you ALL so much…. I’m truly humbled by your VERY kind comments!   Seriously!!    🙂    (my favorite saying — yep, I’m a die-hard Grey’s Anatomy fan.)

All That Scraps Challenge ~ Monochrome

Hello!!    Happy Wednesday and time for a new challenge at All That Scraps!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, between helping my DD with new baby Quinn and the twins, my crafting time has been VERY limited!   I would like to extend special thanks to everyone for your wonderful comments and congrats on the new, chubby cheeks addition to our family!   It means the world to me to hear from everyone.

I couldn’t miss out on my favorite Wednesday challenge though!    This week we’re featuring monochrome – yep, requested by yours truly!   🙂   I do love this technique!    I’ve used my favorite gorgeous fairy,  Coriander,  from the Sweet November  C.C. Designs collection by the awesome Amy Young.

I hope you have a minute to stop over at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog to see all the amazing monochrome projects from the Design Team.   I know you’ll be inspired to join us for this fun challenge.   Thanks for stopping by today!!
