Happy Birthday to my DD ~ Jennifer!

Happy Birthday to you!

Today is my oldest daughter ~  Jennifer‘s birthday!  (click to read her blog Tribute to her Dad on Father’s Day)  And, although she is just slightly older than this adorable Tilda image…I always think of her (and my other daughter, Jessica) at this age when I see some of these Magnolia stamps.   Yes, they were the cutest….still are, of course!   And, they both now have little Tildas of their own!     🙂

This Tilda is from one of the older collections, called Sitting Summer Tilda  from the Shabby Chic Collection.  Did you know that 7 Kids College Fund now carries many of the older Magnolia images??   Of course, they also have all the newest images available too!   Better check them out.   🙂

I’ve also used some of the older Basic Grey Perhaps paper, which I love,  for the background.  The background die combinations are from the Spellbinders Nestabilities dies – Labels Three and the plain Square shape.

Unfortunately, my daughter lives in Florida, so we won’t be celebrating her day together ~ I will, however, be visiting at the end of July when I get to attend  CHA in Orlando!!!!!    I’m super excited!!   Yay!    So, we will definitely celebrate in July!

Thanks for visiting today.   Have a great day!

As soon as I saw this Sarah Kay,  Stampavie image from 7 Kids College Fund, I was completely reminded of my beautiful granddaughters!  Hailee, Joydynn , Anna and even Elia….the newest who is only 9 months old ~

Elia ~ 9 months!

Elia ~ 9 months! (Helping make banana bread)

Talk about having fun!?!  (She gets this from her grandma!)  In this picture, Elia was helping her Mommy make banana bread ~ She had a pan of flour to play with!??    hmmmm….sounds pretty messy to grandma!

Just a quick side-note, my DD, Jennifer, has started a blog (not for cards) about the trials and tribulations of being a SAHM of FOUR kids…in addition to  homeschooling them!!   Whoa….DD does NOT get this from her mom!

If you have few minutes, please stop by and say hello (I’ve been her only, lonely visitor for a week now!!)  LOL  I’m VERY proud of her, she’s quite gifted in her ability to tell stories and live her life by her faith and trust in God.  Hope you can say hello!  🙂

So, back to my card!   I totally fell in love with this Sarah Kay image …

Awwww....

Always kiss me goodnight!

Thanks for listening to me go on about my adorable granddaughters and amazing daughter!

I’ve lost it….my mojo (as they say) is gone!!    Can you help me find it??   I made TWO cardz tonight and I don’t like either of them!!   Yikes!

I do have something important to share with you though….have I mentioned how VERY talented my grand kids are???   (I’m sure they get this from their grandma!)  lol

Hailee, one of my six year old twin granddaughters is in kindergarten this year….her artwork was chosen to be displayed at the local library.  😀    There was actually a ceremony held for the unveiling of the artwork!!     Ahhh…finally someone to give ALL these HM stamps to, since neither of  my daughters are interested in them!

Check out the bling on that leaf!!!   🙂     And the colors!!   Amazing!   lol   I do think it’s so cool how kids seem to love rainbows and really do such an awesome job making them.

Hopefully,  I will recover my creative muse very soon….I’ll keep ya posted!

My Talented Sister …

WOW!!

You may have noticed that I love the quilt stamps from PTI, unfortuntely, I have never done any real quilting.  My sister, Nancy, however, totally rocks at quilting.  I just had to show you a couple of the things she made for me for Christmas….they are so amazing.  My jaw dropped when I opened her gifts!!

Here’s a quilted piece in the most beautiful colors…

This is a towel she also made with a beautiful angel, in purple (of course) for me:

Smiling Caleb

Smiling Caleb

If you’ve been following my blog, you may have heard me mention that I have the cutest grand kids in the world….once or twice!  🙂

Four of my SIX grand kids live in Florida and I miss them all ALOT!!  😦     Here’s a picture of the second youngest, Caleb.    He is such a cutie and can truly light up a room with his smile.

For quite some time now, I have been admiring the many cards made with Magnolia stamps.  Unfortunately, the stamps are produced in Europe and hard to come by in the States.  I finally broke down and ordered a few from Sassy Crafts, a craft store owned by Emma, the VERY talented woman who created the House Mouse Challenge.

Wellllllllllll, my stamps arrived yesterday!   🙂     One of the reasons the stamps appealed to me so much is that they totally remind me of several of my grand kids.   Here’s my version of “Caleb” :

It’s too bad I can’t somehow add his gorgeous smile…but for the most part, it’s him!
I have a couple more stamps and will be trying to finish off a card or two using them this week…so, please stay tuned!
Here are a couple more pictures of one of the cutest kids in the
world!     🙂

Which twin has the broken arm???

Jordynn & Hailee

Jordynn & Hailee

Can you tell?   Moral of the story … NEVER climb on wet monkey bars!

My twin granddaughters ~ Jordynn and Hailee.   Hailee on the right, fell off the monkey bars on Saturday and broke two bones in her arm…ugh.   Thankfully, no surgery was needed and they say she’s young enough that it won’t affect her when she is older AND, pink is her favorite color!

Every grandma’s/mom’s PERFECT tissue box cover! :)

PaperTrey Ink was having their August Blog Hop tonight!   Yay.

Unfortunately, I raced home from the office at 5:00 (CENTRAL TIME), home 5:45, got to work right away on my idea, finished my project with what I thought was plenty of time, 8:00 (CENTRAL TIME) ~ only to finally realize that the time zone for the post was EASTERN TIME!!! {BIG sigh}

Oh well, I’ll know better next time. I still wanted to post my project cuz I think my twin grandaughters are the cutest in the world! (certainly, I’m not biased!)

The Challenge for tonight was to make a project using CD cases…(big sigh again) and use at least one PTI product. Well, here’s my LATE submission. 😦

It’s a tissue box cover…originally started out as a holder for my Copic markers, but I couldn’t think of anything for the bottom!   Who knew that CD cases were an exact fit for a box of kleenex!   (If you put the cases together so that they open to the front, you can replace the photos whenever you wish.)

I’ve shown a picture of each side of the holder (once again, I’m NOT prejudiced in any way….but, they are the cutest, sweetest girls in the world!) Hailee & Jordynn ~ 5 years old!   (wow, this is their public debut!) 🙂

Recipe:  CD holders held together with sticky tape; Sentiments by PTI, Bitty Baby Blessings and Out on a Limb sentiments, stamped in Colorbox lipstick red and Mediterranean blue; Spellbinders Nestibilities tag dies, brads.
