HM & Friends Spooky Color Challenge BH!!

Happy House Mouse Monday!!

It’s definitely been way too long since I’ve said those words.

But, one of my favorite people in the whole wide world ~

the one and only MISS AMERICA

convinced me it was time to ink up one of these cuties and join my old teamies!!

It just so happens today is a fun BLOG HOP at the HM & Friends Monday Challenge Blog.

And the challenge is …

A Spooky Color Challenge ~

Orange, PurpleLime Green and Black

If you’ve come here today via the truly AWESOME Lorraine Aquilina’s blog (aka LOLS), you’re at the right place!  If you’ve just happened stopped by today to visit, I highly suggest you take some time to enjoy the start of your day and pop over to the  House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog for all the details.

I was super excited to find this lonely piece of  scrap paper I had in my scrap bin with the EXACT colors needed for today’s challenge.  Unfortunately,  I have absolutely no idea the name!

I do know that the stamp I’ve used is called Dino Treats.

These cuties were colored with Copics, of course … with a little added SMOOCH paint in green (to the dinosaur costume)

and a little orange to the pumpkin treat holder.

AND, I’ve followed my all-time favorite sketch challenge blog for this layout …

House Mouse Monday ~ Jewels

Happy House Mouse Monday my friends!

It’s time again for a new challenge at the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge blog!   Our challenge this week, brought to us by THE nicest, sweetest lady in blogland, my friend Miss America is adding JEWELS or jewelry to your card or project.    America not only chose this challenge, she also sent awesome surprise packages to each DT member with LOTS of different jewels, beads, charms … too much to list!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

For this cute little PRIMA Ballerina ~ actually named TWINKLE TOES, I’ve used a string of  silver beads – attached with double-sided super sticky tape, a silver charm for her crown  (we couldn’t have a PRIMA Ballerina without a crown!), some silver metal flowers to which four teeny, tiny silver circle beads were attached to the center.

Phew … thank goodness for bifocals!

I also decided to take a stab at a Diamond Fold card, using Bette’s tutorial over at Splitcoast … after several attempts at this folding technique, I finally decided that you have to be smarter than the paper!   Apparently, I wasn’t for awhile.   But, eventually I got and really love the look of this type of card.

You’ll definitely want to take a peek at all the goregous jewel cards from the Design Team!!   And, hopefully, you can join us for this fun challenge.    All the details can be found HERE.

Hope your week is off to a great start.

House Mouse Challenge ~ May Flowers

Happy House Mouse Monday!!

It’s been soooooooooooo long since I’ve been able to join in the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge;  So, I was especially excited to join in for today’s challenge ~ MAY FLOWERS.    Perfect for this time of year.    Of course, I had to choose one of my favorite flowers, in my very favorite color ~ Purple Lilacs!

Mmmmmmmmmmm … I also LOVE the smell of lilacs ~ it certainly looks as though Mr. Gruffie is enjoying their lovely fragrance.   This stamp is called Lilac Bouquet from Stampabilities.

He’s been colored with Copics, cut out and attached to the main panel with pop dots.   I stamped and colored a separate set of the lilacs and attached them with MORE pop dots for a little added dimension:

This will be a quickie post today since grandma needs a nap!    I didn’t get much sleep last night waiting for word from my daughter.   We finally heard from her at about 5:30 this morning!     Fortunately, everyone is doing well and we have a healthy 9 lb. 2 oz. new baby girl – who has yet to be named!   It was baby No. 5 for my daughter, so I imagine she’s run out of names!  LOL

House Mouse Challenge ~ Photo Inspiration

Happy House Mouse Monday!

Our challenge this week has been brought to us by my friend, the awesome Lisa Cook of the HMDT.   Lisa has provided us with this cute little cupcake mouse for our inspiration.

Well, I took two main items from this photo ~  a mouse with a bow in her hair and a cupcake with turquoise frosting . . .  and came up with this action shot!

I’ve used a combination of images for this one ~ Skipping Stones Design cupcake and sentiment, along with little Monica from the stamp called Mouse Bounce, and of course added a little bow to cute little Monica’s hair!

Hope this made you smile!    As usual, the details for this challenge and this week’s prize, along with the always adorable creations from the House Mouse Design Team, can be found on the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog.

Thanks for your visit today – have a great week!

House Mouse Challenge No. 73 ~ Happy Birthday . . . Miss America!!

Happy House Mouse Monday!!

It’s a VERY special HM Monday and we have a VERY special challenge for you today!    One of my favorite people in the world had a birthday yesterday, and we’re having a surprise party for her!!

Smiley from millan.net

Yup, you guessed it  ~  it’s our own Miss America  from the House Mouse Design Team!!!   So, the entire team got together and made cards to celebrate her special day!    Be sure to stop over at the HM Monday challenge blog to take a peek at all the awesome cardz.

Smiley from millan.net

Our actual challenge this week is Happy Birthday!   So I hope you can join us for this fun, super easy challenge.  For my card, I used this oh so cute Gruffie stamp called Beary Nice Celebration, featuring Pebble.   That look on his face just cracks me up … he looks like he’s been caught celebrating a bit too early!!    The “uh oh” and inside sentiment have been computer generated.

The paper is from Creative Imaginations and Pebbles has been colored with Copics.   I added some Liquid Pearls in White Opal (very heavily) for the frosting on the cake, and some Smooch pearlized paint in moonlight for the white streamers and snickerdoodle for his finger and toe nails.   I also used Martha Stewart Daisy Deep Fan corner and edge punches for the center matting.  And, I certainly can’t forget to mention that those teeny, tiny roses on the cake were made by moi!   😀    I used a very small flower punch to cut out five flowers for each, glued them together, spritzed them with water and roughed them up a bit ~ and sprayed them with some Shimmerz Spritz to make them look as though they were made of frosting!

America is in the process of moving, along with her entire family – 4 kids and hubby, from the west coast of the USA to the east coast!   They’re taking their time and stopping at lots of fun places on the way.   So, she hasn’t been able to join us for challenges.   I think she will be surprised when she pops in the check out the HM&F blog today!!    (Fortunately, she has Internet access!)

Thanks for visiting!    And a VERY, VERY happy birthday (and many, many more) to my dear, sweet friend America!
