Happy Easter ~ Magnolia-licious Mini Monday!

DSC_8144a

Happy MINI MONDAY!

It’s time for another Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog

Each Monday several DT Members will be showcasing projects using

Magnolia MINI stamps from the Magnolia-licious Store.

This cutie is called

Running Tilda

from the Butterfly Dreams Collection.

She’s available in MINI or Regular.

DSC_8139a

I also used the

MAGNOLIA MINI SPRING TREE

in the background.

The Spring Tree and Running Tilda were heat embossed

using white ink and clear embossing powder, colored with Copics and then I added some Diamond Stickles to the flowers.

Thought they would show up well on this fun Craft and White Mat Stack paper by DCWV.

The sheets are 4.5 x 6.5 and are pre-cut in the shape of this card!

I also stamped Tilda with black ink on white cardstock, colored her with Copics,

cut her out and added her to the circle using pop dots ~ so she would really “pop”!    🙂

I hope you can stop over at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog

to see the other DT projects using the adorable

MAGNOLIA MINIS

Thanks for stopping by today ~ hope you have a great week!

January Magnolia-licious DT Challenge ~ LOVE

DSC_8041a

Helloooo!   Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted — we had a crazy year-end with a few different illnesses being shared throughout the family and office ~ the flu, a nasty cold, and even walking pneumonia just to name a few.

And, sadly, my 94 year-old mother-in-law passed away two weeks ago.

She definitely lived a full life, but it’s still always hard to say good-bye.  😦

But, I’m back and ready to start the new year with the Magnolialicious DT Blog Hop!

Our theme this month, appropriately, is LOVE!

If you came here from the VERY talented Norma Lee’s blog ~ From My Craft Room, you’re in the right place!

And, if you just happened to stop by today, and would like to start from the beginning to see all the gorgeous LOVE projects, please go the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog for the complete list of participants.

For my project today, I’ve used a Magnolia stamps from the 2012 Sweet Crazy Love collection.

This is  TILDA SENDING LOVE LETTERS.

DSC_8038a

I’ve attached her to a fun bag design from Silhouette, with a fancy heart handle ~ perfect for some Valentine goodies.

The purple heart paper is from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.

We hope you’ll join us in this challenge for a chance to win an AWESOME prize from the Magnolia-licious Store!

The  theme is LOVE and the challenge is ANYTHING BUT a CARD,

of course you can also include a card too if you wish!

Your next stop is the always amazing Sharon Caudle’s blog ~

November Magnolia-licious DT Challenge ~ Interactive Holiday Tags

Hello!  Happy end of November … (not really happy since the month has gone by way tooo quickly,

but at least we have Christmas to look forward to… right??!)   🙂

It’s time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog!

This month, our challenge is

INTERACTIVE HOLIDAY TAGS.

Fun, right?

If you’ve arrived here from the awesome

Chris Christensen’s blog ~ A SCRAPER’S MUSINGS,

you’re at the right place.

If you just happened to stop by today, and would like to start from the beginning to see all the Interactive Holiday Tags, please start at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog for the complete list of participants.

The best part of our challenge today is … we actually have TWO challenges or chances for you to WIN!!!

1.  The first challenge is to create an Interactive Holiday Tag using at least (1) Magnolia stamp, link your tag at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog and you’ll be entered for a chance to wine (1) $50 Gift Certificate to store!!!

 2.  The second challenge is to count the number of candy canes from each DT members’ Main photo, email your total count to sjdean0574@yahoo.com, for a chance to win an ADDITIONAL prize of  (1) $50 Gift Certificate!!!

AND, you have until Dec 29th to enter.

So, I have a confession, I totally misunderstood the challenge and made my tag to interact with the actual gift!!

Eeek!

But, don’t worry, I made another !   😀    And, I apologize now for the extra LONG post today!!

(This is my MAIN Challenge Photo … Don’t forget to count the “hidden” candy canes!!)

My FIRST tag features the adorable DANCING WITH STARS TILDA from the Little Christmas Collection 2012.

It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the papers have a slight green tint,

sooo I colored Tilda with matching colors to match the actual gift … lots of  chocolate”MINTY” treats.

the inside of the gift box, lined with matching papers …

… filled gift box

As I mentioned I totally blew this challenge!

But, in an effort to try to correct my error, I’ve made a REAL interactive Holiday Tag

using the WELCOME TO A SWEET CHRISTMAS stamp

from the Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011 Collection,

and wanted to share this with you VERY quickly  …

This tag is SOOOO much fun —  it’s a Double Sliding tag!    The directions can be found HERE.

Your next stop on this fun hop is the VERY creative Cathy Lee’s blog

CATHY’S CREATIVE PLACE.

Thanks for stopping by today and have fun hopping along to see ALL the fabulous

Interactive Holiday Tag Creations

and please be sure to stop back at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

Jingle Bells and a cute Christmas Puppy!

Tis the season!   🙂

So, once again I’m behind in my calendar pages!  All I can say is “tis the season”!

I’ve said it before, but Thanksgiving is my all-time favorite holiday …

LOTS of good food, family and friend and NO gifts required!

So, I tend to prep for days beforehand.

Buttttttttt,  I was able to squeeze in time for two quick Magnolia cuties …

(I swear they call my name.)  LOL

The first is JINGLE JANGLE TILDA from the Magnolia-licious store (my fav place to shop for these cuties!)

As you can see, I’ve had way too much fun with this one … added some real mini jingle bells,  a small red button on her slippers, gold Stickles and teeny, tiny red ribbons!    Thought I’d share a quick closeup for you to see the details …

The layout for this card is from my VERY favorite Sketch Design blog … deconstructing jen,

the deconstructed Sketch No. 78:

 Deconstructed Sketch No. 78

My second card features this adorable TILDA WITH CHRISTMAS PUPPY … a gift from Magnolia with the purchase of the 2012 Christmas edition of Magnolia Ink!

For this card, I’ve followed the deconstructed Sketch No. 77

Deconstructed Sketch No. 77

And, another quickie pic to show you my usual layering for cardz … LOTS of detailed cutting!

So, I’ll be off for the next few days getting ready for the holiday.

I truly hope those of you in the US have a wonderful day with family and friends.

If you’re still searching for an awesome PUMPKIN dessert, here’s a link to one I make EVERY year

MY FAV PUMPKIN DESSERT

Thanks for stopping by today.

My Magnolia Days 10/28 – 11/17

SOCCER TILDA on SOCCER BENCH

 And SOCCER EDWIN!

Phew!  I definitely had ALOT of catching up to do on My Magnolia Days calendar pages.

I had planned to use these two Soccer cuties for earlier in the year when my 9-year old granddaughters were playing fall soccer …

but was never able to fit them in … soooooooooo, I added them for last week and this week.

Both Soccer Tilda and Edwin are from the WINNER TAKES IT ALL Collection from Magnolia.

I’ve also used papers from the WINNER TAKES IT ALL paper pack –

available at the Magnolia-licious store!

Here’s a quick photo of how they look together on my desk …

And for the first week of November (told you I was REALLY behind!)

Since it was a week that always seems to affect me due to the Daylight Savings time change,

I thought a little light from this cutie ~

MIDWINTER TILDA would help since it starts getting dark SOOOOO much earlier!   🙂

I know this is a long one, but since it was also Halloween during this week,

I thought I would share a few fav photos of my ADORABLE granddaughters on Halloween …

BIG smiles (SUGAR-rush smiles actually!!  LOL)

HAILEE (age 9) – Mustard  (her friend from school was Ketchup)

QUINN (age 2) – a Burger

and

JORDYNN (age 9) – Harry Potter

This is the first year the twins did not go as a matching set!  They’re really growing up!

Some leftover evidence of the SUGAR on this burger!!   🙂

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope you have a great week.

Something hidden …

Happy weekend!

I’m sorry to say this card is SUPER late for our November 1 Magnolia-licious challenge.

Came down with a touch of the flu and was down and out for a few days.   It’s amazing when you reach a certain age, it takes MUCH longer to recover from any type of illness.  ugh.

But, I’m back and really need to get caught up here … starting with this month’s challenge from the VERY creative and talented Norma Lee.

She’s challenged everyone to create projects with something HIDDEN!
That means something on your card needs to be hidden at first look (sliders, pop-ups, tags, etc)!
I’ve used this adorable TILDA WITH TWO LITTLE GIFTS from the *New* Christmas Story Collection now available at the Magnolia-licious Store!
The inside has been cut out using my Silhouette machine with some pop-up surprise gifts … and all the letters too!
I hope you’ll stop over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog to take a peek at all the always creative DT projects for some inspiration to join in this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’m hoping to be back later this weekend with some CATCH-UP calendar pages!!

A Little “Friend”

Happy weekend!   Hope you’re doing well and enjoying your day.

I wanted to squeeze a fall-themed card in before we enter the HOLIDAY card-making frenzy season!

I thought this cutie, TILDA with MOUSE would fit the bill.  I do love my mouse STAMPS.  🙂

I also thought this would be a perfect card for my daughter who recently had a little surprise visitor at their home!

A little country mouse.   Awwww.

Of course she didn’t think he was quite so cute and immediately called the Orkin Man!

Needless to say, there will be no more little surprise visitors at their house!

I’ve followed the ALWAYS inspiring Jen Shults’ layout from this week’s deconstructed Sketch ~ No. 75

  Deconstructed Sketch 75

and flipped it 90 degrees.   The papers are from pinkpaislee.  The word Friend was cut with my Silhouette.

There are some BRAND new MAGNOLIA Christmas stamps up for pre-order at

Magnolia-licious ~ called the NATIVITY COLLECTION.

These  stamps are soooo adorable ~ hope you can take a peek!

But be sure to place your order soon, before they’re gone!

Thanks for popping in today.  Hope you have a GREAT week!

HM & Friends Spooky Color Challenge BH!!

Happy House Mouse Monday!!

It’s definitely been way too long since I’ve said those words.

But, one of my favorite people in the whole wide world ~

the one and only MISS AMERICA

convinced me it was time to ink up one of these cuties and join my old teamies!!

It just so happens today is a fun BLOG HOP at the HM & Friends Monday Challenge Blog.

And the challenge is …

A Spooky Color Challenge ~

Orange, PurpleLime Green and Black

If you’ve come here today via the truly AWESOME Lorraine Aquilina’s blog (aka LOLS), you’re at the right place!  If you’ve just happened stopped by today to visit, I highly suggest you take some time to enjoy the start of your day and pop over to the  House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog for all the details.

I was super excited to find this lonely piece of  scrap paper I had in my scrap bin with the EXACT colors needed for today’s challenge.  Unfortunately,  I have absolutely no idea the name!

I do know that the stamp I’ve used is called Dino Treats.

These cuties were colored with Copics, of course … with a little added SMOOCH paint in green (to the dinosaur costume)

and a little orange to the pumpkin treat holder.

AND, I’ve followed my all-time favorite sketch challenge blog for this layout …

My Magnolia Days ~ 10/14 – 10/20 & 10/21 – 10/27

 Hello and Happy Weekend!

I’m late AGAIN with my calendar page from last week … it was definitely a lonnnnnnng week!

And, since it’s getting closer and closer to Halloween, I thought it was time to include some of the Magnolia Halloween cuties.

I’ve used MUMMY EDWIN for the past week …

The sentiment is computer generated, using the DRACULA

font downloaded from dafont.com.

And for this coming week, one of my favorite Maggie images ~ SO SPOOKY TILDA,

looking a little like Cinderella – pre-fairy godmother!

I’ve colored her in monochromatic colors ~ all Copic Es to match my papers from

the MME Lost & Found Halloween 6×6 paper pad…

Thanks for stopping in today ~ as always, hope you’re having a great weekend!

VERY Scary Cardz!

 Happy Weekend!!

It may be cold and rainy here in Wisconsin (a perfect day to spend playing with stamps!),

but it’s still THE WEEKEND ~ definitely a time to be cherished in our house!

It’s been a VERY long time since I’ve colored one of my (other) favorite stamps ~ the adorable little mice!!

My twin granddaughters, Hailee & Jordynn love coloring and seeing these images –

so I thought this cutie would make a perfect VERY scary Halloween card for one of them.

Sorry the picture is a little dark, I think I need to stop using so much of the metallic glittery papers!  Sigh.

The TRICK OR TREAT words were cut using my brand spanking new Silhouette Cameo!!

Seemed to be a perfect fit for Maxwell Mouse, aka COUNT MOUSE.

I came home from work yesterday, after a VERY long week to find a box by the front door!   Turns out a certain Mr. Nice Guy had decided to surprise me with this!!   OMG, was I ever SURPISED!!

I’m just amazed at all the fun things that can be done with this machine ~ Phew.  Thank goodness the weather is bad today.   🙂

Speaking of my MANY favorite images … this cutie, called WITCHY WRYN is a digi from Tiddly Inks.

She comes in a set with this perfectly matching sentiment.

In my search for new card layouts/sketches, I followed this week’s Sketch Challenge – SC406 at Splitcoast Stampers.

That’s it for me today, hope you weren’t too scared by these cuties!!    🙂

Thanks for stopping by, and Have a GREAT weekend!

Happy World Card Making Day!!

I’ve been dying to use this new Tilda stanp and I have to tell you … she’s my new FAVORITE!

I think it’s the hair, I just have way tooo much coloring these cuties.   🙂

This is TILDA CATCHING STARS from the Princes & Princesses Collection.

I’m always searching for new card layout ideas since I always struggle with this, and found the most awesome blog

with TONS of awesome card sketches …

deconstructing jen

So, for my card today, I’ve used Deconstructed Sketch 72

Deconstructed Sketch 72

My version …

Unfortunately, I used some silver metallic cardstock for the small side piece on the right and it definitely does NOT like to be photographed very well!!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

Wizard Tilda and Blog Candy Winner … a little late!

Talk about a perfect image for a card or project for ANY Harry Potter fan!

This cutie is called WIZARD TILDA, and she’s available in regular size and mini at the Magnolia-licious store.

Here’s a quick photo of the full card …

And now on to the more important information!!
