VERY Scary Cardz!

 Happy Weekend!!

It may be cold and rainy here in Wisconsin (a perfect day to spend playing with stamps!),

but it’s still THE WEEKEND ~ definitely a time to be cherished in our house!

It’s been a VERY long time since I’ve colored one of my (other) favorite stamps ~ the adorable little mice!!

My twin granddaughters, Hailee & Jordynn love coloring and seeing these images –

so I thought this cutie would make a perfect VERY scary Halloween card for one of them.

Sorry the picture is a little dark, I think I need to stop using so much of the metallic glittery papers!  Sigh.

The TRICK OR TREAT words were cut using my brand spanking new Silhouette Cameo!!

Seemed to be a perfect fit for Maxwell Mouse, aka COUNT MOUSE.

I came home from work yesterday, after a VERY long week to find a box by the front door!   Turns out a certain Mr. Nice Guy had decided to surprise me with this!!   OMG, was I ever SURPISED!!

I’m just amazed at all the fun things that can be done with this machine ~ Phew.  Thank goodness the weather is bad today.   🙂

Speaking of my MANY favorite images … this cutie, called WITCHY WRYN is a digi from Tiddly Inks.

She comes in a set with this perfectly matching sentiment.

In my search for new card layouts/sketches, I followed this week’s Sketch Challenge – SC406 at Splitcoast Stampers.

That’s it for me today, hope you weren’t too scared by these cuties!!    🙂

Thanks for stopping by, and Have a GREAT weekend!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday ~ Going Goth!

Hello and welcome to a new Tiddly Inks challenge!

This month, the theme of our challenges is “LET’S BE DIFFERENT“!

First up is – Going Goth!   Create a fun “dark” card   I must admit, this one was a little tough for this grandma of 8!!   But, after a little research on the internet, I felt ready to tackle it!

This gorgeous image by one of my fav illustrators, Christy Croll, is called BELLE and she’s available for immediate download over at Tiddly Inks.   So, I guess that’s the reason Belle of the Ball, really stuck in my mind for a title on this one.

You’ll find plenty of awesome Gothic characters for this challenge at Tiddly Inks ~ the hardest part will be deciding which ONE to use!   I HAD to choose two ~ The floor was made using a partial TI image ~ Grunge Checkerboard .

I even pulled out some Halloween paper ~ Basic Grey’s eerie 6×6 pad.   Unfortunately not a lot of it shows … there are lots of spider webs and spiders, along with some purple-ish flowers.

I guarantee if you hop over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog, you’ll be blown away by the gorgeous Gothic creations from the amazingly talented DT … you’ll definitely be inspired to join us for this fun challenge ~ even if some people call you grandma!  🙂

Tiddly Inks Tuesday ~ Diva cards

Hello ~ Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!    Our challenge today at Tiddly Inks is to create a card fit for a DIVA!     I’ve used Christy’s gorgeous TAINTED image for a Rock Star Diva card!

We have a certain 16 year old who will love this one!   It’s hard to tell from these photos, but her outfit and boots have actually been paper pieced with some black glossy cardstock ~  I was hoping for a shiny black leather look!   I also added some gold metallic ribbon for her belt and some gold metallic mesh to her skirt and behind the main mat.

The computer generated “ROCK STAR” wording was created using a font called Akka from dafont.com which I love!

You really must check out the awesome DIVA cards from the Tiddly Inks DT – you’ll definitely want to join us for this one!   All the details can be found HERE.

Tiddly Inks Challenge ~ Manly Men

Today’s challenge at Tiddly Inks is to create a MASCULINE card or Father’s Day card.

I’ve used the image called SANDY MEMORIES, and thought this computer generated sentiment would make a great Father’s Day card …

A couple of years ago at my nephew’s wedding in New Jersey on the beach ~ all the bridesmaids wore gorgeous dresses in this teal color.    Since then, the color combo of teal & sand has always been one of my favorites and brings back memories of that beautiful wedding!

The flag was added using the end of a toothpick with a small piece of DP wrapped around it.  The sand castle was colored with Copics and then I applied some Ultra Fine Flower Soft in sand.   Here’s a quick closeup of that …

So, I hope you can pop over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog to check out the other MANLY MEN cards from the awesome Design Team, and of course, be inspired to join us for this challenge.

Thanks for your visit today.

Tiddly Inks ~ Quote Me!

Hello everyone!   Have I mentioned lately that I live in Wisconsin??!    Yep, home of the Green Bay Packers!!   {proudly grinning!}

Ok, enough about that … onto the card!   For the month of January Tiddly Inks has been featuring the theme . . . A New Me.   Today’s challenge is Quote Me Use your favorite or a special quote on a card.

This was tough since I have a TON of favorite quotes.   But, as soon as I saw this cutie from Christy, Fairy Fae Catches a Star,  I thought she would be perfect for a “reach for the stars” quote.

Another card with LOTS of glitter!    I’ve used a sheet of paper from the DCWV Once Upon a Time 8×8 paper pad and was able to match the glitter on it to a MS glitter I’ve had in my stash.    Needless to say, the after effects will be with me for awhile again.    🙂

Be sure to take a peek at the Tiddly Inks DT creations for this fun challenge.   I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for visiting today.

Make It Colourful ~ Monochrome

Happy weekend!    We’ve got a new challenge at Zoe’s awesome Make It Colourful challenge blog today!    This week we’re featuring  some of my favorite techniques –  Vintage Photo – Monochrome, Black/White, Sepia – your choice.

I’ve combined the Lover’s Pavilion  from Make It Crafty with Tiddly Inks’   As You Wish  couple ~ I think they were made for each other.

How’s that for a romantic card for either Valentine’s Day, an anniversary celebration or even a wedding!?   I think the Lover’s Pavilion would work really well with so many images since it’s a digi and can be scaled to match any character you choose!

Hope you can stop over at the Make It Colourful challenge blog  to take a peek at the awesome Monochrome projects from the Design Team ~ you’ll also find lots of helpful tips for this technique from Zoe.

Thanks for stopping by today.   Hope you have a great weekend!

Tiddly Inks Christmas Time Challenge

Hello ~ Happy weekend!    We’ve just received our first substantial snowfall last night & this morning here in Wisconsin.   Friday night and Saturday morning always seem to be the perfect time to get snow, if you have to choose.   It is a shame though that the first one is always soooo pretty!   . . .  It’s all the ones after it that are never quite the same!!   I think once is more than enough!

This card is for the Christmas Time challenge over at Tiddly Inks.   This cutie is illustrated  by the amazing Christy Croll and I just love her!    She’s brand new and named Check My List Twice.

I especially love her crazy hair!   Reminds me of mine in the morning!   🙂     I’ve used the new Spellbinders Classic Diamond dies ~ I really like these for a different look.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping in.

Tiddly Inks ~ Color Challenge

Happy Sunday!    Just a quickie today.   This is for the Tiddly Inks challenge this week ~ Color Me OlivePurple & Mustard.   I was really excited to use this gorgeous new images called Sollytude by Christy Croll.   (love that name!)

I love Yoga, but unfortunately, haven’t done it much in the last few years.  It’s definitely something on my “list” to do again at some point.   You may be familiar with the sentiment I’ve added ~ Namaste.   It is a Hindu greeting used in yoga practice and in some eastern countries, meaning  I bow to you or my soul bows to your soul.   The font used, from dafont.com, is called Dragonwick.

The flower shape template that was used for this card is one that I’ve had on my computer for some time and am not sure where it is from ~ so I’m sorry to not be able to give credit to the originator.   If you’re interested, here’s the template for you to copy and resize:

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.    Tomorrow is House Mouse Monday, Yay!

I found these cute Halloween dimensional sentiment stickers by K&Co on SALE at Target.  Yay.   I also just happened to have a perfect matching paper called Spooky Dot by Daisy D’s.    This cutie image is called Candy Avenger by Christy Croll for Tiddly Inks.   I used some matching purple metallic cardstock for her googles.   Wish I could show you a video of how cool it looks when the Happy Halloween sentiment is spinning ~ unfortunately, I still have not had the opportunity to learn to edit and upload videos!    Ugh.   It’s on my very long TO DO list!    I do think my granddaughters will have fun with this card!
